So Weve Seen That Eating Eggs Too Much Can Lead To Drawbacks, Which Made Me Wonder If A Dragon Who Eats

So we’ve seen that eating eggs too much can lead to drawbacks, which made me wonder if a dragon who eats eggs of their own element most often (ie. arcane dragon who eats arcane eggs the most) will they get affected by the drawbacks less or more than if the dragon ate a variety of eggs?

Hmmm…I’ve been thinking on this and think I’ve discovered the answer.

If a dragon has already partaken in egg eating(and presumably has gained their own unique “special effect”) then eating eggs of the same element won’t change how their “special effect” manifests or how intensely. It simply doesn’t matter. Their magic has already been warped.

However, an eater’s first egg may resonate with the eater if their elements match, and could result in additional minor effects. This is a baby version of what happens when primal eyed dragons gain their unique abilities.

Looking back on these, I think they might be due for a repaint :D Also there are several designs on paper, but I think I'll redraw those as well.

Rannoch seemingly got stronger from egg consumption what would happen if they suddenly stopped eating eggs

Fasting might dull that fierce edge of Rannoch's, and her body's base 'age' would increase by a very small amount. Beyond that, the effects of her first egg are permanent. There's no reliance on egg eating for Rannoch.

She's instead bound by a vow of loyalty(only to Matthias, mind you!) made upon receiving her powers. That seemed like a fair trade she was all too eager to make, especially for a battle-ready, never-ageing body. Thankfully she takes 'keeping her word' very seriously, so she's not going to up and leave anytime soon.

Rannoch Instructs her Sparring Partner:

“Our element is ice. Like ice we must be unmovable and solid, and like the biting winds we must pass through our enemies defenses with a mere touch. You need all the strength you can get.  

“Remember this, Okira: True cold doesn’t calculate. It is not detached. It doesn’t stop until it permeates everything it touches, and when it has, it changes that everything from the inside out. You must be immoveable. You must be swift and agile. And above all, you must fiercely claim anything that dare stand against you!!” 

I have quite a few dragons that would definitely become egg eaters; Brothers Violet & Seer, Bahar, and partners Daiichi & Cherynoble.

Hypergryph: Woho! A whole host of newbies, eh? I'm seeing quite a few special eye types too. I wonder what special abilities, symptoms, or mutations would occur if they did become EE's. Weaving together design elements and character themes, and watching them slowly evolve is so satisfying! I especially love Cherynoble, with their red/pink/grey colors.
