which is why i want to read a fic where tyler's claws did manage to fuck up enid's eye, and it's not just some side of the face clawing but across the whole front of her face

obviously, this really plummets her self-esteem to an all-time low, and now she feels like a bumbling idiot trying to navigate her life while only half-sighted

and my god, the pity

she loathes it

no she doesn't need help trying to find her classes and no, she doesn't need you to hold her arm while going out. she's not fucking useless now that her vision is severely impaired

enid is withdrawing and getting progressively angrier. like a bottle under pressure and ready to blow their top.

maybe the furs are being dicks and making comments on how a puppy should've fought someone their own size instead of a hyde. because obviously, they would've faired much better considering they've been shifting for much longer and really it's pathetic how badly you got beaten on your first shift sinclair

it's overwhelming and agonizing, and enid's is constantly half-shifted because of how agitated she gets. claw unsheathed, fangs bared, and her eye emitting a half-feral glow — dousing others in its blue intensity. fuck she can't even stand to look at herself in the mirror when all she sees is a monster staring straight back at her

her friends are trying to help her through this, but she's stubborn. it's pity, it must be. their effort to show enid she is loved and cared for only feels smothering because she's not used to unconditional love. after her disfigurement, she's always asking why and trying to find an ulterior motive to their actions.

no more girls night with yoko and divina, her relationship with ajax is now over. she drops all her extra circulars with bianca, fuck she's somehow able to even avoid being in the same room with wednesday as much as possible unless strictly necessary

the girl is spiraling and no one knows how to get through to her

it's when wednesday comes back to the dorm, one particularly bad day that she decides to be more aggressively progressive about her attempts to help the wolf.

and as the young addams closed the bathroom door, she found it hard to keep her mind off the shattered mirror she discovered, blood covered and struck with such fierceness that it crumbled the brick behind it. no, she thought to herself grimly, this can not continue

"Stealing from me again, Sinclair?" wednesday questioned, a spark of warmth contradicting her stern expression "Do you know no bounds? First my heart, now my clothing? What's next?"

Bundled in an oversized black hoodie, the wolf stretched out languidly on the goth's bed

"Your last name," was the sleepy reply, a gentle confidence resonating in her promise

so this idea has probably been done before but like. with jenna having a picture of emma as her lockscreen (which will be the only thought in my head for at least the rest of this month):

wednesday absolutely has a picture of enid as her lockscreen.

not that she did it on purpose. enid was helping her figure out how to customise her phone and get the most out of it and all that funky stuff that wednesday just has no clue about.

and at one point it comes up like, "you know you can change this picture, right? look."

so enid takes a selfie and sets it as wednesday's lockscreen just as a jokey way of showing her how to do it.

but then wednesday just...keeps it like that.

at one point enid might actually acknowledge it. "did you already forget how to change it?" "no. i remember how."

Morticias showing her around while wednesday complains about wanting to do it herself, which just prompts a knowing smirk from morticia.

But when she sweeps her arm in a wide arcing motion to gesture at the ballroom, Enid flinches. Hard. Her arms have been brought up to her chest and her face is ducked down and she seems so fragile.

Morticia is confused, but Wednesday isn’t. She’s seen how the Sinclair’s treat Enid in public, and this just confirms what happens behind closed doors and she’s pissed

Enid: Wednesday you can’t kill my parents!

Wednesday: too late

Enid: what do you mean too late! You haven’t even moved!

wednesday: if i'm not allowed in my bed tonight, neither are you

Enid: Wednesday... You saved me!

Wednesday: I have already lost one pet. I'm not planing to loose another.
