The way things change

People keep asking if I’m okay, 

And I don’t know what to say, 

Do I tell them how you broke my heart? 

Or about how you tore my world apart? 

But that would mean admitting what we did, 

Revealing all the secrets that we hid. 

Instead I just smile, nod and say I’m fine, 

I can’t tell you how many times I repeated that line,

But behind the smile, the tears still flow, 

In the quiet moments, the pain does show. 

I carry the weight of what we had, 

The good, the bad, the happy, the sad. 

Each memory a dagger, each thought a scar, 

Reminding me of how things are.

The nights are long, the days are grey, 

I lost myself when you walked away,

I search for solace, but it’s hard to find, 

When the whispers of you are on my mind.

I try to move forward, to leave you behind, 

But your shadow follows, it’s always aligned. 

In every corner, in every song, 

A reminder that you’re gone. 

I wish I could erase, I wish I could forget, 

But your love is a tattoo, a permanent regret.

In the silence, your absence screams,

Haunting my nights, invading my dreams,

The emptiness echoes, a hollow sound,

In the ruins of love, my spirit bound,

No light at the end, no dawn to break,

Just an endless sorrow, a constant ache.

Folks have got to understand that they probably aren't messed up by some Secret Big Trauma that they just can't remember; but rather by a million tiny microtraumas that they do mostly remember but don't even register as traumatic because nobody actually understood that these things would cause trauma, much less stack on each other over the years.

I know this site is like 99.9% usamericans so all of the political posts are focused on the US election but I think it's important for everyone to know that the Australian Liberal Party (which is actually the conservative party) straight up missed the deadline to put in the nominations for local elections, which means there are a stack of electorates where there is no nominee for the major conservative party and it's the funniest thing that's happened in years.

You know how at the end of the last ep of season one for grease: rise of the pink ladies, Shy Guy winked at Zuko? (If not go rewatch the show now!!)

Well, my theory is for season 2 Shy Guy would've ended up having a romantic storyline with Zuko, cause why the hell else would you be winking?

I am grasping at straws here, but dammit I wanted my boy to find love.

Can @netflix or someone sort this out?
