you know what following john green on tik tok and listening to his podcast i still think he’s the man and i always get very sad when people talk about how his writing is cringey and “actually, he was never all that good” because he has such good insights on being a person in a world where the internet exists and reminds us constantly to find small joys and beautiful things in simpleness and that is why i will always love his work, old and new.

maybe sometimes he says things in a way that is cheesy, but that is just because we are all cheesy and he says things that way to make us feel because emotions are cheesy and none of us can shy away from that. we cannot feel big feelings without being a little bit ridiculous.
