hi! May I request a Gn!Human reader x Swerve (first contact?) please and thank you!

Hi!! Thanks for being my first Swerve request!! He’s always such a joy to write, so it was so much fun to pair him with the First Contact AU!! I hope you enjoy, I personally really like this one :D

Warnings: SFW, First Contact AU, GN!Human!Reader

(And as a small reminder to any readers, my requests are currently open!)

Swerve had no idea what he was looking at.

He shifted you this way and that, turning your body around in any direction he pleased as you were held in his fist, examining you from all angles. He lifts a digit to his chin as he pouts his dermas to the side, utterly dumbfounded at just what he was looking at.

Was this one of the ‘humans’ on earth he had heard so much about? After scooping up so many other little earthling creatures into his servos and being told ‘No, Swerve, that is a lizard, not a human,’ ‘No, Swerve, that is a bird, not a human,’ and ‘No, Swerve, that is a a bear, not a human’ so many times, things were starting to get confusing. Earth had so many creatures, just how was he supposed to keep track of which one was named which?

You stare up at your own horrified image reflected in azure blue, struggling to keep down your nausea from being thrown around so carelessly. Your form is warped in the mirror of the titan’s gigantic visor. Was it like sunglasses? Was that its eye?? Did it even have eyes??? Your questions are partially answered by the way the red and white mech adjusts his visor as he brings you closer to his face. A blue light suddenly washes over you, from the top of your head to the bottom of your bound feet, and you flinch back.

Swerve decides to shake the cobwebs off of his old scanning system to get to the root of just what exactly you were. He wasn’t about to bring another creature he thought was a human up to the Lost Light only for him to embarrass himself again. The image of your face begins to match itself with countless other images in his memory database, crossing out mismatches in red.

As the minibot goes through this silent process, you think now may be the best time to try and make your escape. Despite how much you didn’t want to touch this thing, you pushed your miraculously free hands down onto his thumb, doing your best to pull yourself up and out of his grasp. It takes a couple tries, and you almost think you’re not even budging, but when you see the waistband of your pants start to peek out from the bright red of his servo, you know you’re making progress.

Finally, after what felt like a good five minutes of searching through his limited database of earth’s creatures, a green checkmark appears in his HUD view over your image. “Yes!” He quietly pumps a fist to himself and a wide grin spreads across his faceplate, looking to the side in his accomplishment. ‘HUMAN,’ his HUD view had read.

“Ugh, finally, I never thought I was gonna see one of you guys!” He reels his helm back in relief, “I was sittin’ here thinkin’, ‘Man, Swerve! You’re really gonna be the only mech on the Lost Light who hasn’t earth’s dominant species? Especially when we made a pit stop on their planet?’ If I did, I knew I would never hear the end of it from the crew. I mean, really…”

Swerve carries on rambling in a tongue you couldn’t even begin to comprehend, voice echoing loud in your ears and ex-vented air from his words blowing past you. You didn’t have the energy to care to spare— your main priority right now was escape. Your thighs are almost entirely free from his grip now, just a couple more tugs upward and you could get out. Though the surprisingly smooth finish on the mech’s hands didn’t do much to help— your little hands kept on slipping against his knuckle rather than keeping you stable.

You press your legs close together— you were freed up to your knees. Slowly, you lift one of your legs out of the pocket of his curled servo, trying to land it on a stable enough place on his fingers. Your body bends awkwardly and you do your best to calm your quaking chest as labored breaths race through your lungs. You could do this. You carefully pull out your other leg, placing it down beside the opposite foot, and you find yourself spread wide across the hole that was your former prison.

Okay, that was step one. Onto step two.

You push your arms behind you with all your might, trying to force your body up into your feet. To your surprise, you manage to do so first try, standing tall against Swerve’s servo—

Until you find yourself plummeting forwards.

As you fall face first downward into the dirt, you realize all too late that you were in the fist of a giant, of course you’d be countless feet high up into the air. You screw your eyes shut, brace your arms in front of you, and scream— because that’s all you could do in a situation like this…

“…and so I said, ‘C’mon, when have I ever lied to ya’, Magnus?’ And then he said— woah, look out, bud!”

…until you land much quicker to the ground than you had expected. It takes a solid five seconds for you to be flush against whatever surface you were on until you deemed it a good idea to peek an eye open. A familiar bright red paint job gleamed beneath you and you whip your head up, only to heave a shaking, defeated sigh.

Swerve was looking down at you in his palm with gritted denta, optical ridges furrowed in great concern. “Are you okay?” His voice rumbles from above you, and he brings his free servo up and over to you. He gently pushes you with a digit from leaving you lying on your stomach to laying you supine, and though you wanted nothing more than to be on the ground, somehow, you couldn’t find it in you to even be mad. Was it exhaustion? Some weird sense of empathy you got from seeing a gigantic alien look on at you with worry? You couldn’t name it. But whatever it was, it gave you enough strength to redirect some of your energy from heaving your chest up and down with heavy breaths over to your arm, and you point downward over the edge of his hand.

It takes the minibot a good minute to process what was happening. You were communicating? That was certainly more sentience he got from the rest of earth’s creatures… sick. But then Swerve finally looks in the direction you were gesturing to, and gives a long, “Ohhhhh,” when he realizes what you were asking of him. Slowly, the mech comes to a knee, lowering his servo down flat against the earth as he does so.

Slowly, you come to your feet in his palm, and step off the edge of his hand and onto the dirt. Once you’re off, the minibot pulls his hand away, resting it over his bent knee. “Sorry, didn’t realize earthlings were afraid of heights. I’ll keep that in mind,” he chuckles, tapping one of his digits gently to the side of his helm.

You somehow found you didn’t flinch as the sound of metal tinking on metal rang around you. Slowly, you chance taking a couple steps back, never pulling your eyes away from Swerve’s visor.

He squints a little, but comes to his realization much quicker than he had before. “Oh! Oh, you wanna’ leave! Okay, no worries, little guy!” He flashes another grin, waving you off with a free servo. “Nice meetin’ ya’!”

Seeing as he wasn’t reaching back towards you, you take it as a sign that he was allowing you to leave. With a long, relieved sigh, you finally turn your back to him— walk becoming a brisk jog as you make your exit.

Swerve lowers his servo, grin fading into a small, content smile on his dermas. “Heh. The guys back on the ship are never gonna’ believe this one.”

I loved part 2 so much!! The adorableness makes me grin like a fan girl. How you contrasted what is going on in their heads... one dark, any negative sign must obviously be betrayal... and tiny human reader is fretting over angles and shading and (holy crap Starscream stop moving) for the giant alien war mech 😍🫠

I didn't mean to ramble, I apologize, I just hope you know how awesome you are.

And if the offer still stands, and you think this is okay, I would love a part 3!! And I had an idea that you can totally use or not use, but what about stargazing?

Maybe reader brought a sleeping bag or maybe time just slipped away on a normal visit, idk, I was trying to go for soft bonding.

Idea or not, I'll seriously be happy with anything. Thank you!!! 😊

Wow, thank you so much!! I’m very happy you enjoyed that little series so far :D I’d be happy to make a part 3 for you! For those unfamiliar, here are parts one and two!

Hope you enjoy! I kind of got carried away with it so it’s a little longer than my usual fics, HAHA

Warnings: SFW, Fem!Human!Reader

There was something you had noticed during your frequent visits to Starscream’s hideaway.

For all of the mech’s boasting and shows of his own grandeur, all of his complaints and infuriated utterances when things didn’t go his way— if there was something that could always seem to get him to quiet down, it was the view from the top of the waterfall at night.

Only once had you stayed long enough to really notice. You were already on your way back to your home before sunset, but you had forgotten your bag. You turned back into the clearing, expecting to see Starscream there, only to find him perched atop the waterfall’s edge at the top of the mountain. He wore an expression you had never once seen before on him, and was gazing up into the sky.

And so, you resolved to really see it next time.

Starscream’s optics flicker as they catch the light of the setting sun, fierce in its final moments— as it always was, the seeker had learned from his time stowing away in earth’s wilds. He raises a clawed servo to shield his optics before casting his gaze down onto you.

You were doodling away in your sketchbook— as you usually did, when you didn’t know what else to do. For once, you were taking a break from drawing studies of your mechanical companion, instead examining a finch perched upon a tree branch not too far from the rock upon which you were sitting.

The little bird seemed to be in the midst of its preening ritual. With its sharp little beak, it dug into the pit between its torso and wing and tugged. It kept tugging at the same spot for a little while, until finally, it removed a bug from its otherwise well kept red and brown feathers. With a couple twitches of its head, the bug jittered around in its beak before disappearing into its mouth— a well earned reward after its hard work.

You felt this was the perfect scene to capture on paper. You quickly brought your pencil to the page, first getting the basic shapes down, as you usually did—

But something suddenly blocked the remaining orange light from overhead, and your sketchbook was too dark to look at. Had the sun set already? No, you could still see the faint hues of pink and orange from the corners of your eyes. Perhaps a passing cloud blotted out the sun?

The clearing of a throat pulls you out of your wandering daydream, and you lift your nose from the page to be met with a gray pede. Slowly, you crane your neck higher and higher until, scaling the length of a familiar mech’s frame- until you lock eyes with a pair of squinting, red optics.

You offer a crooked grin.

“Human,” Starscream begins, servos impatiently on his hips, “it is about time you start on your way home.”

Though your grin falls into more of a smile of ‘I tried,’ you nod. You close your sketchbook and grab your bag, stuffing it full of your art supplies and a spare grocery bag full of wrappers from snacks you had thankfully remembered to bring with you that day. As you begin packing up, Starscream gives a nod of his own and goes in the opposite direction as you— scooping the spare mechanical parts he often spent his time fiddling with into his arms before stepping into the forest line. He crouched down, removing a false bush from its place, revealing a worn hole in the ground. Then, one by one, he places the metal pieces into the hole.

Now was your chance. Aside from your travel bag filled with your usual materials, you hike a much larger backpack over your shoulders. You were lucky Starscream didn’t care enough to ask what you were doing with a new bag.

Rather than head out into the forest line— while the mech was distracted, you carefully backed up and away closer to the waterfall. In your exploring, you recalled there was a little alcove hidden behind the waterfall, and that would be your temporary base until Starscream returned to his perch atop the mountain.

Tucking behind the rushing water, you pull yourself inside just in time to see Starscream cover the hole with foliage once more, quickly picking himself up onto his pedes. Though the water makes it difficult to see, you can see the bright red of his optics shift about— he had been scanning the environment as night finally began to fall.

Once he was apparently satisfied, he left your field of vision from this angle. You could, however, continue to track him from the tremors his pedes left in the earth as he walked. Though the vibrations sent your instincts into a slight panic, all you had to do was breathe, you were used to it by now.

Eventually, the quakes fade, and when you hear one final shake run its way from the top of the mountain all the way down to you, you know Starscream has finally sat down.

Now was the time to make your move.

You slip your way out from behind the waterfall and begin your ascent up the mountain. Thankfully, it wasn’t that bad of a climb, really— just a steep incline. Though, you did have to take a couple of breaks along the way to catch your breath and take the weight of your backpack off your shoulders for a little bit.

Eventually, you take another few steps up onto the hill, and the back of the silver mech’s frame finally becomes visible to you. You duck your head instantly— you didn’t want to risk him catching you so early on. But, there he was, in that same position he always liked to seem to take.

One leg dangling off of the edge of the cliff, the other crossed onto his thigh, and his arms resting behind him as he gazed into the night sky.

With another breath, you gather your courage. You approach him.

You soon make it up beside one of his servos behind him and he doesn’t even notice you. You’re not sure how to get his attention without frightening him…

“Hey—“

A shrill screech cuts its way through the air, and while you flinch into yourself, Starscream raises his servos in defense— pedes scrambling in place as he looks around in a panic before finally landing his optics down onto you. The fear in his eyes quickly twists into fury, though his chassis pounds up and down all the same. He slams one servo down into the earth with a fierce growl, using his other servo to scoop you up in one fell swoop.

“You!” He shouts, “I told you to leave! What are you doing all the way up here?!”

While getting scooped up into the fist of a metal giant would typically send you into a bout of panic, you had enough experience with Starscream’s sudden flashes of anger that you could keep relatively calm. “Okay, I know you said to leave, but…!” You trail off, trying to determine whether or not it was worth lying to the mech’s whose hands your life was currently at the whims of.

With a sigh, you drop the eager attitude. “…a couple days ago, I saw you up here, looking up at the sky. I— I know you say you don’t care about company and that having people around you is more trouble than it’s worth, but…” your eyes drift to the scar under the mech’s right optic before you lock eyes with him once more. “…I feel like your problem is that you just haven’t met the right company yet.”

Starscream examines you for a long time. His fury has simmered down by now, though his faceplate remains twisted in pure suspicion.

“Correct me if I’m wrong,” you add. “Listen, I get if I crossed a boundary with you. I’ll leave if you want me to.”

Then, after another moment of scrutiny, Starscream lowers his servo back down to the floor— much to your surprise. You drop to your feet, nearly tumbling backwards from the weight of your backpack, but you manage to keep your balance enough to see the seeker staring at you with… stifled confusion. Though he appeared to be trying his best to hide his emotions from you, your eyes shifted to the side, catching his wings tilting themselves downward.

Quickly, he tears his gaze away from you. “Fine. If you don’t bother me, you can stay.”

You pump a fist quietly to yourself, all while giving him an earnest, “Thank you.” Finally, you remove your backpack from your shoulders, crouch down, and open the zipper to gaze into the contents within.

Your trusty sleeping bag.

You scoop the mass of fabric into your hands before dumping it onto the floor. You unravel the bundle into a much more usable form, lower the zipper—

“What are you doing?”

The sound of Starscream’s rough voice makes you jump in your spot just a bit. You turn around to see him staring at you with a raised optical ridge— perplexed.

You fully turn to face him and place your hands proudly on your hips. “I brought a sleeping bag,” you explain, gesturing a hand towards the bag. “It’s basically a bed that can travel with you, and you can use it to sleep in the wilderness. Another innovative human invention,” you wink.

The seeker’s confusion dissipates into disinterest. “Whatever keeps you busy,” he waves you off with a servo before turning to face the night sky again.

You shrug— you learned to never take Starscream’s comments to heart anymore. If he really didn’t want you there, he would have long since kicked you out by now. So, you drag your sleeping bag up beside the mech’s hand— Starscream lifting it out of reflex as you approach.

“No, you can stay there!” You assure him, fully unzipping your bag. “Uh, if you don’t mind me next to you, that is.”

The mech rolls his optics, shifting to the side to allow you some breathing room with a grumble. You offer a little chuckle as thanks as, at last, you slip into your sleeping bag, zipping it up to about halfway up your torso.

Then, you cast your gaze up into the stars.

The sparkling dots looked as though they were dancing gently in their places. While you couldn’t tell them very much apart, it was certainly a much better view here than from your apartment window. It was no wonder why Starscream liked the view so much.

“…hey, Starscream?” You try.

“What is it?” He replies in a low grumble, looking down at you from the corner of his eye.

“You said you were an alien, right?”

He huffs a pompous laugh, “A Cybertronian, yes.”

“So… is your planet up there somewhere?”

And you’re met with silence.

“Starscream?” You repeat.

“…yes,” he finally answers— though his tone is softer than you had ever heard from him before.

You shift from lying down to resting your weight onto your elbows behind you. “Is it visible from here?”

There’s another huff, but it’s more resigned this time. “No. Though I know its general location from this angle.”

You lean forwards, squinting— trying to get an idea of where Starscream had been looking just from the perspective of his head. But then, you suddenly pull yourself backwards as something slowly raises itself before you.

A single, dark navy servo.

You look between the hand and Starscream’s face for a moment, dumbfounded— but you decide to just take the chance and hop on. He wasn’t even looking at you, who knows how long this offer would last? Leaving your sleeping bag behind, you clamber into his palm, and the very moment you’re settled down is when Starscream raises you into the air, level with his chest.

With his free servo, he points northwest. “There. Just past that cluster of stars.”

You squint again, trying your best to follow his pointed digit. You wished you were more astronomically adept. “The… the group of seven or eight stars there, all bundled up against each other?”

Starscream nods. “There, thousands upon thousands of lightyears away, lies Cybertron.”

      MTMTE x gn reader

    『 rodimus ,, minimus ,, swerve ,, rewind ,, chromedome ,, trailcutter ,, brainstorm ,, first aid ,, whirl ,, tailgate ,, skids ,, gender neutral reader 』

  -> coparenting on widgetable

  — fluff ,, sfw ,, crack

  — since ive started coparenting on widgetable i decided to do hcs of mtmte characters n coparenting on there :3

    - rodimus

| • roddy saw it on tiktok when he was supposed to be working ,, and instead of finishing it his work he spammed you about it until you replied

| • who names it -> roddy

| • he names the kid chicken nugget because it seemed funny

| • roddy would have his status set as 'saving the world'

| • he'd be a good parent the first few days ,, but after about a week or two he forgets so you have to spam him care reminders

| • he probably buys the premium

| • roddy also probably spams your notes when you have chicken nugget over ,, and begs you to return him

| • he would draw little hearts on your guys' doodle widget when hes bored

    - magnus / minimus

| • you had the app and somehow convinced minimus to download it and coown a pet with you

| • you hatched a cat ,, and minimus let you name it ,, which was probably a bad decision

| • because you named him dr . bigglesworth

| • he regrets it to this day

| • mins usually has biggles most the time ,, and never forgets to feed or bathe him

| • hes respectful with his notes and gives him to you when you ask

| • though if he sees you're neglecting dr bigglesworth ,, he'll send you one care reminder

| • he has his status set to 'hardworking'

| • mins wont write little messages on your note widget unless you do it first ,, same with doodling

| • though sometimes when he gets super stressed from work he may doodle dr . bigglesworth on your doodle widget

    - swerve

| • he found the app and was super excited to coparent with you

| • he wanted to name the egg ,, and so he did

| • and thats how jerry got his name ,, and jerry was a penguin

| • he would also always remember to take care of jerry ,, maybe even spoil him a little too much

| • whenever swerve was bored at his bar ,, he would talk to jerry and feed him

| • swerve would constantly send a miss you note whenever you had jerry ,, it was honestly crazy

| • he would have his status as 'hold a hand' always

| • swerve probably would argue with you over notes on how you're neglecting jerry ,, when you literally just got him back smh

| • though all in all ,, swerve takes his coparenting to the extreme ,, he takes it serious and as a way to prepare for any future outcomes

    - rewind

| • he found the app and asked if you wanted to coparent ,, which you didnt mind ,, rewind was already coparenting another pet with chromedome

| • for some reason ,, rewind always has his status set to 'toilet' and when you asked him why ,, all he said was that it was funny to look at

| • anyways ,, you hatch a frog !! and rewind named it dinkle without talking to you first about it

| • so now you have dinkle ,, who rewind sometimes forgets about ,, which makes you spam him care reminders until he takes care of him

| • he always argues with you over your notes ,, telling you that youre caring for him wrong

| • and when rewind's bored ,, he draws pps on the doodle widget and sends you questionable notes on the note widget

| • all in all ,, hes a 4/10 parent to coparent with

    - chromedome

| • he found out you were coparenting with rewind and asked if you wanted to do so with him !

| • he let you name the egg ,, which you named 'moonie' ,, chromedome found it a little strange but cute

| • you hatched a puppy ,, and chromedome fell in love with moonie immediately

| • honestly hes a better parent than rewind is ,, always sharing moonie with you ,, giving you moonie when you ask

| • he spoils moonie with space rocket baths all the time

| • chromedome does love to draw you both on the doodle widget as best as he can ,, which is stick figures of you two

| • he sends you good morning and good night notes on the note widget

| • and his status is usually set to 'send a heart'

| • 11/10 parent to coparent with

    - trailcutter

| • he only did it because you wanted to ,, even though deep down he wanted to be the one to ask

| • he hatches the egg and lets you name it 'big mac'

| • teebs questions why but never gets an answer ,, and so big mac hatched to be a panda

| • he also falls in love with the pet ,, always taking care of big mac

| • though he usually sends you big mac when he knows hes about to start drinking so he doesnt end up neglecting him

| • when hes drunk off of engex ,, he usually draws you crying faces and broken hearts on your doodle widget

| • and thats pretty much your sign to send big mac back to him

| • teebs grows pretty attached to big mac ,, and always feels sad when he sends him to you :( always asking that you feed and bathe him

| • teebs usually has his status set to 'kiss' but when he gets drunk he changes it to 'lonely' or 'miss you'

| • hes a 8/10 parent

    - brainstorm

| • youre the one to introduce it to him and hes over the moon about it ,, he loves the concept and is super excited about coparenting with you

| • you let him name the hatched egg ,, which happens to be a duck

| • brainstorm calls him 'featherington' for sheer silliness ,, but really he just loves featherington

| • he spends money for the premium version so he can spoil his little duckie

| • he always fights you on the notes too ,, telling you to take extra care of featherington whilst hes working and if you dont hes gonna unleash the tickle monster

| • and you dont really have the time for the tickle monster ,, so you do your best to care for featherington

| • brainstorm usually has his status set as 'need you' ,, the little animated kitty cat that only premium lets you have

| • he sends you good night notes on the note widget ,, and sometimes reminders of things you need to do that day

| • when hes done with work and bored ,, he draws featherington on the doodle widget

    - first aid

| • he probably found it whilst he was taking a break from working ,, and saw it as an ad and wanted to do it with you

| • he insists on naming the pet springy ,, totally not in relevance to springer ,, he doesnt know what youre talking about

| • you hatched a cat though ! first aid tries his hardest to take care of springy but he usually ends up neglecting him or using all his items and waits for the cool downs

| • he has his status set as 'kiss you' or 'working'

| • he'll doodle little stars in his free time though ,, which is rarely

| • first aid is another who puts little reminders on your notes widget in case you have something to do that day

| • he also spams you care reminders and gets worried when you dont take care of springy and demands him back

    - whirl

| • youre the one to introduce him to the app and he at first doesnt agree to coparent but then he starts to overthink it and agrees in the end

| • he names the pet 'spike' for shits and giggles but yall hatch a duck and he becomes so attached to spike

| • he definitely buys premium to care for spike whether or not you know about it

| • any time you receive spike ,, he immediately spams 'missing spike' notes and spams the 'care reminder' notes

| • he has his status set as 'hit' or 'push'

| • he draws spikes on the doodle notes and sends you the most out of context notes ever on the widgets

| • you swear ,, one these days and magnus will sneak a peak accidentally and confiscate your phone

    - tailgate

| • hes so excited to coparent with you he cant even wait the 24 hours ! he names the pet fluffy because he likes it .

| • you hatch a shark though ,, but tailgate insists on keeping the name fluffy

| • tailgate loves fluffy so much ,, he always reminds you to take care of him ,, though sometimes he does happen to neglect fluffy on accident

| • when he does ,, he starts getting emotional and sends fluffy to you instantly ,, saying hes a bad parent and doesn't deserve him

| • he always loves when he gets fluffy back though ,, hes so joyous and is always thanking you

| • when bored ,, tailgate doodles blue hearts and sends you little love notes on the widgets

| • he has his status set to 'kiss' or 'loving'

- skids

| • you introduce the app to him and he doesnt see why not ,, so he agrees to coparent with you

| • you let him name the pet ,, and he chooses 'bubby' for em

| • yall hatch a fox ,, and skids gets to care for him first

| • you had to show him how to ,, and he learns fast how to use the app after that

| • skids makes sure to take care of bubby when needed and doesnt blow through all his items immediately

| • on the doodle widget ,, he sends you hearts and flowers ,, sometimes drawing himself blowing you a kiss

| • and on the note widget ,, he gives you good morning and good night messages ,, randomly telling you something he heard at swerves ,, sending ilys to you

| • his status is set as 'touch' or 'hug' depending on the day

| • he usually always wants bubby but he forfeits the fox when you ask to care for him
