Wait… do… artists normally not render every piece they do? Is that the reason why my art takes so goddamn long and I feel like I’m always falling behind my peers? 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
THIS IS SO ME! Tbh it depends on style, i usually don’t render every drawing either💀 but it still takes me so long on EVERYTHING even if its just flat colors…
okay here are the actual hcs☝️
MTMTE Swerve x Cybertronian!Reader

You were surprised when you received a message to your personal frequency. not only was it a number you didn't recognize but it was also the first message you'd gotten..in a while
It was a...long message. Like a really long message. So you found a place to sit down and relax
You were greeted by a loud and rather excited voice saying "It's me, Swerve!" You listened to the message with a confused look on your face, as far as you knew, you didn't know a mech by the name of Swerve. But he seems enthusiastic enough to keep you listening.
At first you thought it was some type of prank or joke, but it really seemed this bot confused you for someone else or got the wrong number.
Even so...you listened to his story for hours until it came to a stop. To be honest, you were a bit disappointed that it was over. You think you went through the 5 stages of grief with some of those stories. The bot was strangely charming in his own way. The way he managed to keep you interested in whatever tale he was talking about despite you knowing nothing about who these bots were besides that they were on a quest. His words made you laugh and made you picture the events going on perfectly In your processor.
Before the bot ended his message though, he excitingly boasted about opening his own bar on the ship they were on, "the Lost Light." and how he was inviting Blurr to visit. They seemed like friends (🪦)
You couldn't believe you were feeling this way towards a bot you don't even know...all you knew was their name, uh, location almost...and their voice. Apparently, it was enough for you to smile at the thought of the message and replay it a couple of times.
And you know what? Maybe it was time for you to go on a quest of your own. A quest to find this mystery crush and get to properly meet this Swerve...wherever in the galaxy he was
But first, you sit down, log into your subspace network and send a message back with a grin.
and there begins your back-and-forth messaging whenever it's possible
imagine you somehow get on the lost light at some point and meet your long-distance partner, Swerve. He was just as cute and captivating in person and hey, now he had someone to listen to his stories and join him on his adventures.
now you have an interesting story of your own to tell whenever bots ask how you even met. Hell, watch their jaw drop once they realize you traveled all the way to their ship just for Swerve. Especially for Swerve
Another headcanon request bc I'm normal about him. What if that fake number Blurr gave Swerve belonged to a Cybertronian who would actually find him really charming?
that number belonged to me and i called him off screen actually

E.J Sue’s “Mechaforce” is one of the few “How to Draw” books I would point newbies looking to get into drawing robots to. It emphasises knowing the basics (Very difficult to draw a robot properly if you can’t use perspective) and fundamental shapes and even arm techniques, and gives a neat insight into how mechanical forms work in art.
These are just a few of the examples from the anatomy section of the book. It’s currently on sale on Amazon and worth checking out, though I will note it is not a “be all end all” resource, thankfully you can fill in your knowledge gaps elsewhere.
