The Beatles didn’t fit any known categories. My first impression was… how could somebody possibly create such music? The Beatles were different because they looked within themselves. They were singing to each other. Resonating to each other. Empathizing with each other. It felt like they, themselves, were in search of something. I’ve never seen any team like them. I think it was one of those things that happens in history once in 100 or 200 years. One thing I can say is that people are lonely, but when people do connect like they did, there’s joy, happiness, and satisfaction. It’s a miracle, I think. – Shimpei Asai, Beatles photographer
