Barnaby is a ghost that haunts an old rundown mantion in the ancient City of Magic. He believes death is the highest art form to exist and takes pride in his creations (mangled corpses he hangs up on the walls). He always urges you to join in on the fun and gets very upset if you refuse!

Via Punchbowl News: the Republicans (for reasons either strategic or spiteful) appear to have spiked their own bill—the one that passed in the Senate just now.

“Breaking news: The House Republican leadership won’t bring up the children’s online safety bill that the Senate passed with 91 votes on Tuesday.

“A House GOP leadership aide told us this about KOSA: “We’ve heard concerns across our Conference and the Senate bill cannot be brought up in its current form.”

“This is a big blow to the effort, which is spearheaded by Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.). And it comes just a week after Speaker Mike Johnson told us he’d ‘like to get [KOSA] done.’”

…This is not going to be a permanent respite, as there are congressmen who want to pass a House version of the thing. So it’s time for some more phone calls to your representatives, whichever side of the aisle they’re on.

Meanwhile, I can’t think of a piece of US legislation I’ve been happier to suddenly see fall over dead on the floor. :)))))))

KOSA PASSES SENATE 7/30/24

Kosa has unfortunately passed the Senate on a 91-3 vote. I want this to be clear, It’s not going into effect, it still has to get to the House but I believe there will be a break for the month of August which gives us A WHOLE MONTH!! to call your HOUSE representatives and tell them to vote NO on Kosa. It’s not over yet, it barley JUST passed the Senate now because so many people told their senators and representatives that they didn’t want KOSA. We can do it again, PLEASE do not panic and give up!! I know it’s scary I’m very scared right now myself but if we go silent that’s how it’s going to pass the House and get signed to the president. Let’s try to stop that from happening!!!

Call your house representatives!!!!there is more opposition in the House, we can stop it. BLOW UP THEIR PHONES!!
