It’s as if you know nothing about the world because you’ve been sleeping for 3000 years in a metaphysical prison, unable to reach even the world of dreams as the world broke and changed into an unrecognizable place, filled with half familiar names that have lost all meaning, and you find yourself in what is supposed to be one of the most wealthy cities in this world and you realize there isn’t even running water much less a functional toliet, and as you stand there with a pot of your own piss and shit in the same room youre supposed to sleep in, you begin to wonder, was drilling a hole into hell for the devil to come through even worth it?

"Isn't it weird that [thing humans commonly eat] is poisonous to literally every domesticated animal" I mean, there's a pretty good chance that [thing humans commonly eat] is at least mildly poisonous to humans, too. One of our quirks as a species is that we think our food is bland if it doesn't have enough poison in it.
