and of course, as soon as the tracklist was released, I started looking to YouTube because I’m a poor bitch who currently works paycheck to paycheck and may not even be able to feed myself the rest of the week until I get paid again on Friday. ANYWAY……..

I found the Fake Love (Rocking Vibe Mix) had been release on BangtanTV

I listened to it.

Oh dear sweet baby jeebus, why? Just why??

As someone who loves nearly every type of music ever created, my first thought was, “This sounds like ‘Rock Band’ video game tried to cover/accompany Fake Love to get out of royalty dues.” because it’s literally Fake Love with the most generic rock backing I may have ever heard. ICKY!!

As someone who’s been a ‘metalhead’ almost as many years as she’s been alive, I’m telling you, there are 50+ bands that could have helped with this song and made it EPIC, but the first two that came to mind? (because they would have not only RESPECTED the original, they would’ve called in BTS to approve it before they did anything…)

Breaking Benjamin (because of the ‘feel’ of the song because they could literally take any BTS love/angst song and not only ‘Americanize’ it, but do it justice AND make you FEEL THAT SHIT BITCHES!!)

and

Five Finger Death Punch (if you wanted to inject a ‘punch’ or ‘RAWR’ to the song, but still keep it melodic because the lead singer of 5FDP is astonishingly brilliant.)

I could suggest more, but why bother?

People who WANT BTS to collab with western artists can’t stop sucking Nial Horan, Charlie Puth, Kanye, John Legend, and Shawn Mendes’ dicks long enough to realize there are better, but maybe lesser known artists that would work better? 

Just like I told my roommate the other day when he played BTS to ‘placate’ me after I got home from a MISERABLE shift at work….He says;

“How about this BTS remix?“….he starts playing it and the ONLY thing that went through my mind and came out my mouth was, “I only trust Steve Aoki with BTS remixes….I would’ve trusted Avicci, but bless him, he’s no longer with us, so turn that DISASTER off!!” and I’m telling you, truer words were never spoken because it sounded like BTS mashed up with Nintendo/Windows 98 sounds!!

Now I think I see why Western BTS ARMY are afraid for them to get famous/become a household name over here because culture/society will warp them into some kind of Backstreet Boys/NKOTB/Psy monstrosity, won’t they?

*sigh*
