Hey um I’m writing this after-cannon portal fic and I would really appreciate some feedback to make it realistic. I’ve done some research but I haven’t played. Would it be possible for there to be a human civilization outside of the combine-run cities? Self sufficient, (I know that the water and air are really polluted but let’s assume they have filtration systems) and near but not too close to city 19 (that’s the junkyard that the resistance took over right?) I know that the Combine pillaged a lot of earths natural resources, but is it feasible for neglected spaces to grow a forest while Freeman was sleeping? Are there any neglected spaces at all? If you have any more information about the climate of earth and where human could live free please tell me. 🥲

as a fandom we need to come up with something Clef can tell Meri about why he killed L*lly that won’t send her spiraling with the knowledge that she herself could end the world, and that the person who gave birth to her was an abuser who ruined not only Clefs life but six other innocent girls as well, flooded and killed a whole town, and worshipped what Meri would interpret as satan.
