the premise behind this isn't true. there are vast numbers of species that have sex for social and recreational purposes, with some having entire social hierarchies mediated by nonreproductive sex

Deltarune’s Narrative wants Kris to become closer with Ralsei…instead of Susie.

The narrator really, really likes Ralsei.

They’re nearly obsessed with Ralsei’s fluffiness and will mention it at every opportunity.

But with Susie, the narrator usually describes her as just “mean”.

The narrator seems irritated that she “won’t do anything but fight”, and calls her a tormentor.

…even in Chapter 2, when she’s much improved.

This is basically the opposite of how Kris feels about Susie and Ralsei.

While Kris is friends with Ralsei, they’re closer to Susie and will sometimes brush Ralsei off…

…but the narrator actively tries to bring Ralsei and Kris closer despite this.
