EVERYONE I HAVE A PROBLEM

My laptop isnt connecting to my wifi so I can't write the next chapter of my October prompts OR continue my Kyborg week thing which I'm still doing. I'm going to try to get it sorted tmrw bc I'm going to go to somewhere else with wifi, but I'm gonna be about 3 days behind unfortunately )): I'm kinda dissapointed cos I like writing these little drabbles, and I tried to stick to the challenge, but I got a lot to do tmrw so I'll try and fit it in, and do a Productive Day ™ (wish me luck cos I'll need it)

In other news - I'm still very much alive and wanting to write, with lots of inspiration, surprisingly. I also want cake.

Also, if anyone is looking at the Fluff/Angst prompts for this year and thinking of ideas but doesn't want to/doesn't have time to write them, and wants to feed the writer mind, go for it! I'm happy to take suggestions for these prompts and in general a bit later when challenges stop happening. Just pop me a PM ! And I'll be sure to credit you on stuff I write.

Have a sparkly day!

- Bex (:

I saw a post talking about how Terry Pratchett only wrote 400 words a day, how that goal helped him write literally dozens of books before he died. So I reduced my own daily word goal. I went down from 1,000 to 200. With that 800-word wall taken down, I’ve been writing more. “I won’t get on tumblr/watch TV/draw/read until I hit my word goal” used to be something I said as self-restraint. And when I inevitably couldn’t cough up four pages in one sitting, I felt like garbage, and the pleasurable hobbies I had planned on felt like I was cheating myself when I just gave up. Now it’s something I say because I just have to finish this scene, just have to round out this conversation, can’t stop now, because I’m enjoying myself, I’m having an amazing time writing. Something that hasn’t been true of my original works since middle school.

And sometimes I think, “Well, two hundred is technically less than four hundred.” And I have to stop myself, because - I am writing half as much as Terry Pratchett. Terry fucking Pratchett, who not only published regularly up until his death, but published books that were consistently good.

And this has also been an immense help as a writer with ADHD, because I don’t feel bad when I take a break from writing - two hundred words works up quick, after all. If I take a break at 150, I have a whole day to write 50 more words, and I’ve rarely written less than 200 words and not felt the need to keep writing because I need to tie up a loose end anyways.

Yes, sometimes, I do not produce a single thing worth keeping in those two hundred words. But it’s much easier to edit two hundred words of bad writing than it is to edit no writing at all.

Imagine the interns trying to wear each others clothes eccept they’re all have at least a foot in between each of them.

• Bart would try to wear Kyborgs shirts and they’d be like a short dress on him, but he would probably think it was funny and he would also try to wear the quiver because kyborg wears it so much it’s praticaly part of his outfit, and that would also be kind of big on him and be kind of awkward on him.

• Kyborg would try on Gum Gums wizard clothes and they would probably just fit him pretty well, since they’re kind of short on Gum Gum, but the sleeves would probably be a bit big and he’d slap people with the extra sleeve room. He would also try on the hat to complete the outfit and it would probably be a bit big on him and just make his head look really small.

• Gum Gum would really want to wear Barts clothes, but be really disappointed when he couldn’t, and probably just wear Mudds clothes, wich would be a bit big on him but more like a small person wearing a large hoodie, and he might trip on the pants, and he would probably pretend to be Mudd for a bit and kyborg would think it’s really funny.

• Mudd wouldn’t really be able to wear anyone’s clothes since they were all atleast a foot shorter than him, but he would probably try Gum Gums hat and robes after kyborg was done and the robe would probably just fit like a shirt and he would get kind of bored and ask for his clothes back.
