what if Sirius and reg used to say “mischief managed” as kids and then after the marauders first prank together Sirius mumbles it to himself and James hears it and is like “I love that let’s say that” and it became the map thing and after reg died Sirius would go to his little makeshift grave for Reggie and whisper “mischief managed” as he set down the flowers (bc yk- regs dead and his mischief has been managed- idk you get the point) but now Sirius couldn’t even use the map anymore bc saying that phrase reminded him of regulus and he couldn’t say it without breaking down.

I like to pretend that in PoA Wolfstar didn’t actually reunite in the shrieking shack. Sure Remus thought that was when they reunited but there’d actually been a black dog following him around. Ofc Remus had always called this dog Padfoot bc he reminded him of the boy he’d once loved, never actually making the connection that this dog only appeared after Sirius escaped Azkaban. Not knowing that every time he called that dog Padfoot Sirius broke down a little inside because he knew Remus treated every dog he saw like that and Sirius then knew how much Remus had been hurting

We need to be talking more about this 'side plot' in OotP:

I need a story about Sirius reading that article, maybe reminiscing with Remus about Stubby Boardman, because he has to be around their age for him to be confused with Sirius. Sirius definitely needed a laugh, being grounded and everything.

Or give me a story about Sirius not finding it funny at all, but feigning a laugh because dark humor is his coping strategy in response to the whole wrongful imprisonment thing, and he refuses to let anyone see how much it truly affects him.

And where are the Marauder stories featuring Stubby Boardman? And what's the deal with Doris Purkiss? With Stubby and Sirius being relatively close in age, shouldn't she, too, have attended Hogwarts at the same time as Sirius? Then why doesn't she know him? I thought he was 'the height of cool'? And what's the backstory with the turnip?
