Ok but imagine, James following Regulus around like the loverboy he is around hogwarts.

And Regulus pouring out compliments in french but making it sound like insults because he is not ready give in to him yet.

So James just thinks he's actually muttering abt how annoying he is.

And one day, after months of pestering, Regulus says "i love you" in french and makes it sound like an insult but James stops in his tracks, because he has heard Sirius say those exact words to Remus and knows what it means.

He just smiles tho, cause obviously Regulus isnt ready to commit to him yet if he didnt say it in english. So he smiles and keeps following him around.

I just finished it, it’s fucking perfect, like actual perfection.
