“Alright Mr DeMille, I’m ready for my close-up……”. Norma Desmond, Sunset Boulevard. This wee one hopped over, took care of a bit of grooming, then, struck a pose…..how could I resist? Bon Samedi, mes amis!

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul. Luther Burbank Friday flowers for a friend….mostly from the garden….sunshine, food & medicine for the soul indeed, for the designer as well as the recipient:-)…..Joyeux Vendredi, mes amis!

‘It is said that the effect of eating too much lettuce is 'soporific.’ I have never felt sleepy after eating lettuces; but then I am not a rabbit.’ From - The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies by Beatrix Potter. Sorry wee bunny, no lettuces to be had in our garden….just a bunch of rather disorderly flowers, but you’re welcome nonetheless…lol:-)…..Bon Dimanche, mes amis!

You can dance in the storm. Don’t wait for the rain to be over before because it might take too long. You can do it now. Wherever you are, right now, you can start, right now; this very moment. Israelmore Ayivor. Yes, yes, let’s do this, let’s dance in the storm…..doesn’t matter that you have two left feet and are the biggest klutz this side of the pond(Me!:-)…….let’s dance in the storm & revel in the rain & trust that He will bring the sunshine in His time…..may I have this dance;-) ? Bon Jeudi, mes amis!

When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself. Tecumseh Joy and gratitude....one feeds the other until you're not quite sure where one ends and the other begins. Take this shot, for example, what do you see first? Do you see just another street with a dirt pile & construction equipment? Or, perhaps, do you see the beauty of the late evening light, how it makes the greens pop against the rolling grey clouds in contrast with the dark shadows & asphalt of the street? Beauty is everywhere, things to be grateful for are hiding in the most mundane stuff you see everyday.....just waiting for you to discover them.....little G-d gifts......just when you need them.....always at the right time and place......yeah, He's THAT good..... Bon Mercredi, mes amis!

Solitude is the soil in which genius is planted, creativity grows, and legends bloom; faith in oneself [and trust in the One who created you]is the rain that cultivates a hero to endure the storm, and bare the genesis of a new world, a new forest. Mike Norton, White Mountain [thoughts in brackets , mine]. So eloquently stated, Mr Norton….I’m inclined to agree….Bon Samedi, mes amis!
