Running away will solve all problems

Look, Billy really wasn’t planning on running away. He liked it at the Vasquez. They’re cool; they’d never hit him, or starved him, or locked him in his room, even when he was being an asshole and mentally prepared himself for it. He never thought that he’d ever willingly leave (being forced to leave was another story, he knew he wasn’t a good enough kid for such a great placement) yet here he was, bags packed and hidden in a corner he was surprised nobody else had found in the 2 years he’d been away. He stuffed the last of the stuff he’d managed to take (before the guilt had sunk in) into the little hole in the wall then closed it with the loose half brick. The zeta was nearby and after a few days of consistent walking he really needed a shower. Sure, if he showed up as himself, Batman would immediately clock that something was wrong, and Flash would probably go all mother hen on him but that wasn’t anything he couldn’t handle... okay, maybe his plan was to spend as much of the time in his room and hopefully just avoid confrontation at all costs.
