This is also the fic that single-handedly brought me back to the fandom after more than a decade of being away

100%! I even wrote a line about it in my fic:
He circles the pitch. The memory of every victory and loss are seared into his muscles. And the competition… God, he loved the challenge of flying alongside the best of them: Cedric, Cho, Ginny… Christ, maybe he does have a type.

let's pretend that everything is fine and no one is dead, no dark lord, no war.. and this photo was taken on their 6th or 7th year
+ bonus harry who's 'definitely not having a thing for seekers' and a photo in color

If you want to read a good Harry/Draco fic, let me direct you to Salt on the Westen Wind by saras_girl. It starts directly after the final chapter of Deathly Hallows (epilogue be damned). Harry & co. are forced away to a safehouse, forbidden to do magic, while the wizarding world tries to round up the remaining Death Eaters and, respecting his debt to Narcissa, Harry agrees to take Draco to safety with them. In a fit of mutual stupidity, Harry and Draco end up bound together at the wrist with only the knowledge that “trust” will end the spell. It’s really beautifully written and characterized and I have read it three times now. There aren’t really any warnings to give, either. There’s a sex scene and some encounters of homophobia (not the internalized kind tho), and a lot of really terrible romance novels. Here’s the author’s summary:
When the war isn’t quite as over as it first appears, a guilt-ridden Harry is sent to a mysterious safe-house. Among sandwiches, insomnia, and Mills & Boon, he discovers something quite unexpected.
There’s a lot of my favorite things in this–extremely powerful Harry, discussion of deepest feelings and issues being the main ones–and it develops properly with a really nice pace. Ron and Hermione are really well done also and I feel like that sealed the deal for me. It is fairly long though, at 60,500 words. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!! (And many thanks to Charlie for putting me onto this.)
I’d be so interested to read the findings!
I need your help with my thesis!
Hi friends ❤️
I’m writing a Masters thesis about queerness in the Harry Potter fandom (and its rejection of the author), and I really need some help collecting some insights on your experience in the fandom!
You don’t have to be queer or into queer pairings to participate. Any data related to the fandom is useful for my research.
The survey is completely anonymous, and will only be used by me for this research. It won't give me access to any personal data through Google either.
It should be quite quick, and you don’t have to answer a question if it makes you uncomfortable.
I need this asap, to be honest. I’ll keep it open for responses until Sunday, 4th December.
Your contribution will be immensely helpful. Please help me get a good grade 😩

Please share it with your followers so it can reach more people!
Thank you SO MUCH!
What songs did you listen to while writing ROA?
Thanks for waiting so long for a reply. I typed out a huge playlist and then tumblr ate the post and I got very angry and had to leave it alone for a bit.
I was listening to The Jezabels’ album Prisoner on repeat at the time, and a healthy dose of their EP Cherry Pie too. If I could pick just five songs which really wrote Running on Air for me, they would all be from The Jezabels: Long Highway, Endless Summer, Deep Wide Ocean, City Girl, and Catch Me.
I got my old laptop up and running again so I could check my old playlists, and this one is from around the time I was writing Running on Air:

Note: I’ve done a few playlists for RoA and I know my music taste is all over the place. Most people skip the electro-rock and drum-and-bass tracks I add — I guess people don’t associate synth-pop and electro-rock with Running on Air. But if you give these songs a go, you’ll see a lot of inspiration in the lyrics. ‘Honey’ has the lyric, “We can’t accept what we do not get to choose.” And EDM song Embrace begins with, “On a night like tonight, you saved my life.” Experimental electronica song Daylight Hours has amazing lyrics: “This is the third trip in the back of your car, filled with memories flashing by like liquid sky, like electric stars that define everything we are…I’m trying too hard, I’ve gone too far, now everything keeps shifting in and out of time.” Lots of RoA inspiration!
