I didn’t like James so I’ve redesigned and aged him down so he’s the younger brother now I’m a lot happier with him now.

Uhm advice I would say find a character you love and would enjoy cosplaying also make sure you will be comfortable wearing. If you want to go for accuracy rather than fun try finding characters you have a similar face shape. Oh and tutorials online are really helpful too. Just have fun with it.
