— ☆ gimme a plot where muse a and muse b have been broken up for a little while, but one day muse a asks to meet up and confesses that they never told their parents that they broke up and they need muse b to pretend they're still together and go to some family event with muse a. cue pretending to still be in love, arguing about why they broke up in the first place, fake kisses that turn hungry, all the yearning and pining, one of them still being in the love with the other !! the possibilities are endless

Wanted plots based off of rom-coms:

10 things I hate about you: muse a, the badass, was paid to date muse b, the hard headed and scary one that doesn’t date, so that the person that hired them could take out their sibling. Lots of ups and downs with muse b trying to resist muse a’s attempts at charming them and then inevitably giving in. Could even mix in the part where muse b finds out the truth for some extra angst!!

The wedding date: muse a’s sibling is getting married and so muse a hires muse b, an escort, to accompany them home for the wedding. It’s the first time muse a has been home since their fiancé broke things off with them and muse a wants to put on a show that they’re okay and not still caught up on what happened. Muse b charms her and her family and they fall for each other, and her family opens up about certain family secrets that muse a didn’t know before. Cue the drama of muse a being upset that muse b found out before she did and let the angst unfold!!

Going the distance: muse a meets muse b while muse b is in town for a few months for an internship. They vow not to make it anything serious since muse b isn’t permanently there but when muse b’s internship is over, muse a confesses their feelings and the two agree to do long distance. Just give me the ups and downs of long distance!! One trying to find a job where the other is, the late night phone calls, the quick trips, and the universe working against them.

The proposal: muse a is on the verge of getting deported and muse b, her assistant, makes a deal with them to marry them in order for them to get their green card so that they can stay in the states. The downside? The two of them hate each other and muse a knows nothing about muse b. In an attempt to get to know them better, they go home with them over the weekend and in between the fighting with each other and the family, they fall for each other.

27 dresses: muse a is always the bridesmaid for all of her friends and muse b is the opposite. They hate weddings, despite being a writer for weddings due to their own fiancé cheating on them years before. Muse b is trying to find an out in their career so that they can take it in a different direction other than weddings and while trying to come up with a way to do so, muse a leaves their planner behind in a shared taxi/uber with muse b, in which muse b discovers how many times muse a has been in a wedding. So, muse b takes the story to their boss and is given this one chance to make a story better than the ones they write for weddings. Muse A’s sister is getting married and muse b uses that as an excuse to get closer to get their story and in the midst of it all, they fall for her. Before they can take back the story or tell muse a about it, it’s published and they’re completely embarrassed. Cue angst and feelings!!

THE ❝ WE WEREN’T SUPPOSED TO FALL IN LOVE ❞ PLOT IDEAS LIST 

muse A is more inexperienced romantically/sexually and has a horrible unrequited crush they’re trying to get over;  they know muse B is sexually adventurous and approach them about a casual hookup to help them get past their feelings.  it’s supposed to be platonic but they end up having good chemistry and keep finding themselves coming back to each other.  

muse A is trying to get over an ex and muse B is known to prefer casual hookups rather than dating so muse A approaches them for rebound sex.  as expected,  they say yes.  however,  muse B has secretly been harboring feelings for them. 

muse A is important to a loved one of muse B who made them promise to take care of muse A while they’re gone  (  either on a death bed,  separated by war,  had to move etc.  ).  muse B is begrudging about the unwanted responsibility at first but over the course of their time spent together starts to develop romantic feelings.  they know acting on it would compromise their promise,  but they can’t help themselves.  

muse A is inexperienced sexually and never quite seems to get any relationships to work.  they approach the more experienced muse B and asks them to teach them,  wanting to just get to have the experiences,  having ‘given up on love.’ muse B is supposedly jaded towards committed relationships as well and has no problem agreeing,  however they find themselves far more attracted to muse A than they first planned. 

muse A and muse B are friends.  neither of them have had much luck with relationships so they decide to platonically begin to hookup.  it’s fun to explore and get experience with each other without all the expectations and pressure.  however,  they both start to develop feelings over time,  and both assume it’s unrequited. 

muse A is a prisoner and muse B is their guard,  enemies of circumstance more than principle.  they spend a lot of times stuck with each other which leads to them talking into the nights.  muse B begins to grow and attachment and muse A finds themselves trusting them despite themselves.  the only problem is muse A is likely to be executed.
