“of course” the professor replied, unsure of the purpose of this inquiry.

“mayonnaise is made from these very things and yet when combined, new properties arise.”

You retire and suddenly the world is huge, slow. Your body is unspeakably fragile. A decade of constant combat drug infusions means you can barely get out of bed. Nothing feels good anymore without the reward implant firing off.

You haven’t killed in months. You snap at the slightest provocation. You want so badly to feel the suit close around you as you wade through buildings. You want to feel powerful again.
