I will definitely have to visit that au. It was fun. Maybe a comic of the three of them after Marie was buried (doubtful they’d have a full funeral for her given the towns opinion of her lol). But I agree, it would be nice to go into their guilt a bit more. Though I think it was their guilt that killed them in canon. Do you think they got off easy in canon? Lmk yall.

Imagine Henry goes mute basically from his arrest to his trial and at the trial they give him something to write with and a piece of paper so that he can answer questions if needed

And throughout the entire trial hes scribbling down something and then at the end he just kinda sits back and the judge is like “it seems the defense has prepared another statement. Could the attorney of the defendant please read the statement of the accused?”

And his attorney picks up the piece of paper and it’s literally just a drawing of Marie

I imagine Marie to be largely disillusioned about the religion she was raised in and not really believing in anything especially after George died, and she’s finding it hard to cope with George’s death and stuff

And Jason is like “well yknow at least he’s in a better place” and obviously Marie is like “I’m happy for you that you can let yourself believe that he isn’t gone gone but I can’t” and Jason is like “okay well for your sake let’s just do a little exercise. Let’s say heaven was real, right? And heaven is like paradise for everyone. What do you think George’s heaven looks like? What’s he up to?”

And they come up with a bunch of stuff they think he’d be doing and it ends up making her feel better just to imagine George his happy self again and not the terrified kid he was in his final moments

“Rose why do you draw Marie wearing makeup why would she be wearing black/wine red lipstick and why would she have mascara on she’s literally intending on never showing her face except to like two people (Peggy and Teddy)”

Honestly the best part about there being no canon information about like half the characters is that anything is possible.

-Murphy could be a single dad

-Carrie could have psychic powers just like her namesake

-Maurice could secretly be addicted to chocolate

-Casey could be a horse girl

-Edward could actually be 4’11 (1.5m), have the body shape of a noodle, and still kill dozens
