Tally Hall - Hidden In the Sand

Apart from being very grumpy and closed most of the time, Karl enjoyed sunny days out. He could lay on the grass near the factory sunbathing without the sunglasses and coat. On some days he would take the hat off his face to feel warm rays on scarred skin. These peaceful moments made him feel calm and resilient. Like there was no Miranda with crazy ideas, no Alcina doubting his ability to make the right choices or others who spoiled his life so much. And sometimes Karl even thought about leaving this place one day…

Not so long ago he found a companion for sunbathing sessions. At first, Heisenberg was against the idea of showing this side of himself to you. Being a grumpy old man was easier than admitting his love for sun and quietness. However, when you were smiling, his longing heart could not say no. After so many years of enclosing himself in the factory, Karl wanted you to stay around. Moreover, he could just call it an… experiment?

It was raining for a week already, but his new companion was restless. On the fourth day of the storm outside, you brought a weird-looking box to his workshop. After examining it, Heisenberg concluded that it was radio... at least in its youth.

You: Fix it!

Karl: I can just bring you a normal one and…

You: Please…

His ability to refuse was ruined by the gentle smile and the eyes full of enthusiasm. This radio was different from the ones that villagers had. It was smaller, made of plastic, and had a different structure inside. However, as a genius engineer that he was, he fixed the radio within a day. After all, he enjoyed working with something new and mentally thanked you for bringing a strange device.

On the next day, the sky cleared and there was no trace of the storm, except for the few fallen trees and petrichor. The sun was high in the sky; rare clouds were moving around. Heisenberg was holding the radio in his hands when he saw you on a small field of grass near the factory. Surrounded by sunlight, you were standing with the head thrown back, enjoying the warmth. At this second, he felt a warm feeling filling him from inside. A smile slowly appeared on the man’s face.

Carried by the moment you did not recognize when quiet music started to play. While you were standing, Karl turned the radio on (and was lucky to catch some wave), placed the box on the grass, and took off his coat, only to place it on the grass.

Karl: Hey, no need to stand, when you can lay down…

His voice cracked because the man was embarrassed. When you finally recognized that you were not alone, Heisenberg thought that he would have a heart attack. This soft smile, sparkling gaze, and warmth that he felt inside. Maybe you were a sun ray of sorts? Or his personal sun?

You two were laying shoulder to shoulder on his coat, enjoying sun rays and incredible warmth the went with it. By turning the head to the side, you could see Karl’s relaxed face, not covered by a hat or sunglasses. With all the scars and wrinkles yet so beautiful. However, after living alone for so long, he could not recognize his attractiveness and charisma.

His hand moved closer to yours, intertwined fingers, and gave it a gentle squeeze. You still could not impulsively hug him or show affection in usual ways, because he was overwhelmed by the number of things that you could do for him. But even this small gesture was enough when you two were together.

The song changed, and you felt how Karl set up. Suddenly, he stood up and made you stand two, by gently pulling the hand he was holding.

You: Karl?...

You did not have a chance to ask, because the man pulled you a bit closer by the waist, still leaving enough space between the two of you. Then he started to move, slowly, a bit clumsy, and with eyes down, not to step on your feet. After recognizing what he was trying to do, you decided to play along and started to move to the rhythm. Step by step two of you started to dance, and Karl looked at your content face. His scarred cheeks were covered with pale blush.

You: Thank you for fixing the radio…

Karl: Thanks for being with… hm… with me…

Talking was hard for him today, but the smile that appeared on your lips and the bright blush on your cheeks where the best rewards for fixing weird radio. The song kept going and Karl brought you closer in a hug. Soft, careful but meaningful. This hug meant that you were the most important detail of his mechanism.

Karl: Thank you… For fixing my heart…

Imagine: Living with Tachibana Makoto

☀️ Makoto is an early bird because he is used to waking up before everyone in the family. His morning starts with jogging outside. After small training, he returns home, showers, and prepares breakfast for two. It is his way to wake you up, even if you have set the alarm the night before. Mornings with him are soft and gentle. On weekends, he goes extra and brings the breakfast to bed.

🍱 With his education, Makoto knows how important is breakfast for a perfect day. If you are a person that skips this meal and prefers to drown yourself in coffee instead, then you must compromise and eat at least something. Otherwise, prepare for a grumpy Makoto that will check on you and write to you all day long. He always prepares two Bentos, knowing that you have a good appetite during lunch and probably try to wolf the meal down. Dinner is usually freestyle and varies from day to day and your level of tiredness. Luckily, there is an option to order something from the nearest restaurant.

“Did you have lunch? Do you drink enough water? Are you hungry? I will prepare something tasty for dinner!”

🪣 We all know how Levi does the cleaning? Right? Just imagine, his level of cleaning combined with the gentle character of Tachibana. Voilà, we have a space clean enough to perform surgery without you being stressed or scared. Makoto never complains about who does the cleaning and when because he is naturally tidy and has his cleaning schedule. If you are not a fan of washing the toilet or cleaning windows, then you do not have to worry. Just relocate yourself to the bed or sofa, so you do not get on his way. Keep in mind that even Makoto’s kindness has its limits and if you will intentionally create a mess, he might get offended.

“Sometimes you look like a cat that does not like vacuum cleaners~”

🧺 Laundry is one of the things that he is perfect at and even knows how to handwash. Probably, after living in a big family, he could survive during the apocalypse while treating you to a tasty meal and telling stories. Makoto is not squeamish and could wash your underwear without a second thought. Moreover, he never comments on what you are wearing and will fix the clothing if there is a hole. Overall, he is a very caring person that enjoys cleaning activities.

📺 When spending time at home, Makoto prefers to study or to spend time with you. Second usually includes performing sports together (for example, yoga), watching films, and cooking. Anything that includes interactions and possible jokes helps him to relax and feel you close to him. Also likes to hug you from behind if you roll the dough or wash the dishes. Makoto is very chill and never pushes or hurry you up because home is where you must feel safe and relax.

🛒 Mommy of the house or the person that supernaturally knows everything about every product in the house. Pantry, veggies and fruits, drinks, and fresh products – every single thing is on his mind. Apart from this, he does not forget about sweets. In busy months you buy everything weekly, so Makoto can prepare meals in advance, and you have something to choose from after a long day. When you both do not have too much work or studying, there is an opportunity to but everything daily. Makoto is always ready to buy something you like. Definitely the “let’s go to McDonald's” type of person when you make puppy eyes.

🌙 He usually sleeps well and likes to feel your warm body next to his. Never hesitates to cuddle with you during the night and genuinely enjoys sleeping in a hug. Always a big spoon because he likes the feeling of a smaller body in his hands, knowing that you feel cared for and safe. He might have insomnia on nights before meaningful events. During these episodes, he leaves to the living room and spends the night with a book or watching something on the laptop. You always have an option to come and share insomnia with him, meanwhile, he will keep saying that you should go and sleep.

About writing...

I was hesitating to write publically for 5 years.

I was afraid that my writing is awful.

I was scared that my english is not good enough.

I was happy when I wrote for someone.

As long as there is at least one person who will enjoy my stories, it worth it.

As long as I enjoy writing, it makes sense.
