i hate this fucking "i'm just a girl" brand of feminism bc it is so easy for young women in their 20s who are afraid of big changes and personal growth to revert to depending on their gender and the associated fragility of it so that they can make it through life when really they're just trapping themselves in a position where they cannot and will not grow out of that fear.

Along similar lines, watched Pagglait today and I think this genre of movies which focus on the intricacies and politics of family in the event of a death (or similar major events) have lately become my favourites to watch.
Ram Prasad ki Terhvi beautifully captures the nuances of big family dynamics and the ugly realities of a death in the family that no one really discusses - possibly one of my fav movies I've watched this year.
It helps that it had 4 of my all time crushes in the cast - Supriya Pathak & Naseeruddin Shah, Parambrata and Konkona Sen Sharma
