if there's a trope that instantly kills suspense of disbelief for me, it's the tragic rain of sadness i.e. when it begins to rain the moment something sad and personal happens to the character

iuri: txt i know it's a trope for a reason but i can't help but roll my eyes ever time it happens it was very impressive when i was 12 and watched pride and prejudice with keira knightley and she had that scene with mr darcy confessing in the pouring rain but it's very tired now that i'm a hundred years old idk if you can tell but i came here straight after watching another one of these scenes and i fucking hated it thanks for coming to my ted talk
