Free will is a thing. Don't want to do something? Don't do it. Want to do something? do it. (Consequences exist, and you do have to face them, but you can still technically do whatever.)

If something bothers you (touching door knobs, bright lights, certain fabrics), you're allowed to do stuff to alleviate that discomfort. Wear latex gloves, wear some sort of sunglasses indoors, and buy a bunch of the same shirts. At the end of the day, there's hardly a reason to push yourself so much.
