Sent my final letter to my boy today! Both exciting and sad ^^;;

Saddening because I have grown use to writing to him every week now.. it has become routine. It's comfortable, and I will miss it a little after he passes through his ceremony. (I may take to just writing him little notes and letters once we live together ^////^ no reason I have to stop being soft in written form :] )

BUT!! It is also VERY exciting because it means that the time is almost upon us that he will be done with training!! I must iron my dress shirt, pack my suitcase, and get ready to take a week off of work!! (and be anxious the entire time I'm gone because OOF my work is gonna be rough when I come back...)

However.. I will only get him for a short time in said week.. Then he is being sent off for schooling for his field of expertise for a full year in yet another state.. BUT!! He will have full communication again!! AND we'll be making the plans to get married!! (December maybe?? I must confirm this òwó) then it's MOVING TIME BAYBEEEE!!!

Again, contemplating opening a few commission slots, but I can only take one at a time with my current setup ^^;;

What's your process? The style you use is unique and is like cartoon-y while not at the same time. Also what software do you use?

Oh! Uhm well it's often chaotic! Usually I'll make a sticky note doodle while I'm at work, throw it in my sketch book in my bag, then snap a picture of it and use that as a base to do my digital stuff on when I get home! Here, I have a WIP of Serpent and Eon that I'm working on for my boy's ceremony. ^^

So I'll pull my past stuff in for reference and to make sure I'm staying on model, then I build off of basic sketches and stuff! Typically, I chunk things like you can see here. Like Serpent's hand and face are mostly drawn in, but his arm is still the pencil sketch at the moment.

My process is chaos ^^;;

And as far as the software... I actually just use an app called Sketch!

It's free to use and has a decent amount of tools at its disposal ^^ I do all my art on my phone! Tiny screen be damned, I'm gonna draw any way I can ò^ó (it would seem I may be getting an upgrade come December, as my boy has decreed that I'm getting a tablet haha)

It's hard, not seeing him and not talking with him regularly.. but he is worth it. He is, and will always be, worth the wait. He's worth the distance. He's worth every sleepless night of worry.

Been communicating with my boy mainly through letters. Updating him on stuff, keeping him informed about my health.. mostlyyy

But I also have sent some doodles and stuff, and it's been a while since I've drawn in pencil but I think my sad, wolf boy, Jaith, came out okay.

I guess this is also your reminder that I am also a furry and typically depict myself as a wolf, a bear, or a hybrid of both

Y'know, it's always irritating when someone doesn't make the connection that I'm Japanese AND Caucasian.. like, I get shit because I have stuff in my cubicle celebrating my heritage and stuff, but because I got the nose and freckles from my Ma's side, I'm constantly harassed about it because I'm not "Asian enough" to celebrate my heritage (according to the ass-hats I work with anyways ;>.>)

And like.. no matter how many times I bring it to "HR" They're disinterested and plays it off as "Oh they're just teasing." Like, excuse me, your whole job is to make this stop?? Literally getting the excuse "Boys will be boys" and am expected to just except that..
