People Who Hate Over Fictional Characters Amaze Me Because I Don't Have The Energy Nor The Time To Carry

People who hate over fictional characters amaze me because I don't have the energy nor the time to carry any hate for anyone. It's too exhausting for me.

I don't care if people don't like characters. You're not gonna vibe with everyone, and that's fine. I've read books and I'm like, oh no thank you many, many times.

My issue is and always has been how people use the most dogshit arguments to justify their hatred and those arguments hurt actual, REAL people. Elain isn't fucking real, for example, and has no feelings to consider because she's words on a page. You can't hurt her- she isn't a person. But people write whole think pieces comparing eluciens to rapists/red pill incels for thinking there is something interesting between those two characters does hurt REAL people.

Not even mentioning how often people in this fandom go after real ass people, harassing them for not liking their personal faves. There is someone stalking the AO3 Feyre Archeron tag and harassing authors who write anything that could he perceived "anti", and uses actual slurs against real people in defense of a character who will NEVER thank you for it.

That's my issue. Victim blaming fictional characters- they don't care (not real), but the people who identify with the abuse, the assault, the story of triumph having to read your ill-informed, frankly dumb fucking opinion that they lied about their sexual assault because there were no witnesses (they apparently trust)? Real scenarios that happen so often it's the reason I have employment.

It's like, people can't just say "I don't vibe with this pair/ship/aesthetic". They have to make it their social justice cause as if there is any social justice that is built on bullying/harassing/being a piece of shit to real people. People who can't seperate fiction from reality and think if you like a fictional scenario/bad guy character, you OBVIOUSLY support that in real life. Enough nuance to understand why their faves committing crimes are fine, but everyone else should be openly bullied, and they'll follow them from social media site/discord chat to do it.

That's what I find exhausting, personally. Same people crying about how toxic the fandom is constantly baiting the other ships trying to start shit, stalking people who have them blocked, and acting like they have any moral high ground. It's pathetic, it's giving friendless energy, and I'm happy to see more and more people just blocking these types and engaging with creators/other fans who came here to have fun.

One of these days, these stans are going to be the reason someone hurts themselves, and it will be terrifying that it will have had to go that far for people to understand why antis call these series and this author dangerous.

There should be ZERO reason to cyberbully or rain heaps of abuse on someone for saying they like or don’t like a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. I don’t care which side of the fandom you’re on (even though like 99.99% of this is only coming from one side, let’s be honest). You do NOT get to hurt real life people over a fairy porn story and then claim any sort of moral superiority. The type of shit I see that gets said? The type of harassment people get? People have taken their LIVES over less. And unlike most of these fake “anti abusers” online, I’m a mental health advocate IN REAL LIFE. You guys have GOT to STOP before it gets too bad, I’m BEGGING y’all.

Again, there is nothing wrong with liking bad fictional characters! Stop treating people terribly over a badly written made up horny self-insert story! If you need to justify why you’re treating someone badly over fiction, you need to just admit that you are okay with treating people bad at your whims PERIOD. You need to admit that you are just a bad person PERIOD.

If you’re not too far gone, rein yourself in! Before you start calling people all types of bitches and hoes, before you start telling people that their own experiences with IPV and abuse are invalid, before you start wishing harm on people, ask yourself what the end goal is. Ask yourself why it’s so important. Ask yourself how you would feel if someone said any of that to you over some random book or movie or song. Ask yourself if you’d be okay saying that to someone in real life. Ask yourself if you’d be okay saying that to someone who was in a bad place mentally. Ask yourself if you’d be okay if someone hurt themselves over what you said. And then once you rein yourself in, do your part to try and rein your friends and followers and mutuals in too!

I'm not crying! Your crying! Okay, seriously, if you have an hour and a half of spare time, listen to this. It adds such a huge layer to James that I'm debating adding it to a version of him in any of my AUs, it's such a sad but wholesome story that I'd recommend to any TTTE fan especially if James is their favorite character to listen to. It's even got some snippy Edward in it, even a bit of Sass-ward in it. And if you ship Edward x James this might give you a few fuzzies, but it's more of a brotherly love. But they do say the famous 3 words. Anywho, it's good, I have to order new heartstrings now, so I'll leave you to this masterpiece.

Woah! Hold up! I just found out that the voice actor for Knockout from Transformers Prime is in Transformers Earthspark! Dam, they're pulling no stops to this series, and my 10-year-old self is squealing! Can this show get any better?! I beg that they bring back Knockout! Let the red king be in full swing! He was sort of ahead of his time back in the early 2010s, he'd be a huge hit today, so I'm hoping they bring him back.
