I like to think the Taly engines have maybe similar personalities to their twins or maybe complete 180's. Douglas for example I headcanon as being a lot more happy and excitable, literally the exact opposite to Duncan. And as a fun nod to Skarloey and Rheneas being brothers, Talyllyn and Dolgoch probably swap personalities with the other brother. Like Talyllyn has Rheneas's personality and Dolgoch has Skarloey's.

Do any of you ever wonder what the Talyllyn engines' personalities are like? In the RWS and TV series I mean?

I keep envisioning Douglas (Duncan's twin) as a calm, quiet, yet is a poor little nervous wreck.

Actually, I commented this on a "How to fix BWBA" video that an international episode they could've done was have Thomas, or maybe even one of the narrow guage engines (having those guys go there would make more sense) go to the Talyllyn railway. If BWBA did an episode like THAT, I would've liked it no matter how bad the writing would be. We could've been able to see what the Talyllyn engines' personalities were like!

If I'd known they were selling engine plushies I would've stopped in to see Harry, agh!

Aw, oh well, always next time. On the bright side though, I got a new shirt from the shop, and I got to blow a steam whistle! Next time though I'm going to bring ear muffs, nearly had a panic attack hearing an engine whistle that big that close for the first time.

SteamRail Open Day 2024

Absolutely awesome. A titanic display of steam power if there ever was one!

It’s not every day you get to meet a steam locomotive…

SteamRail do these every couple of years and this is easily one of the best steam events I have ever been to, even without an international guest like Flying Scotsman.

The highlight of the day? Getting to blow one of my favourite engine’s whistles, specifically VR A2 986’s whistle (the basis for my OC Pluto!), which isn’t that loud in the cab… and chirpier than I expected from an old engine.

A visit to Newport Sheds would not have been complete without a visit to see Heavy Harry… (admission to the Railway Museum was free!)

… and swag to take home.

Absolutely brilliant effort from SteamRail even with the terrible wasting heat of the day. The air conditioned coaches hooked up to the diesels were an absolute lifesaver.

All in all, it was a great day!

I googled if there was a symbol for autism for my profile pic, and the first thing that came up was the puzzle piece ribbon. At first I thought it was just a cheezy metaphor, but then as I scrolled I found that it wasn't actually all that well liked. When I clicked on one of the pictures saying the ribbon was bad it lead me to an article why, and after a bit of reading and thinking, I agree. Even if the puzzle piece wasn't implying that we're broken and need "assembling", I came to the realisation that I still feel sort of insulted by the child-like approach, so that's why I like the gold infinity ring instead. I hope they change that ribbon, because I do want to wear one to maybe an event local to me someday.

ngl I thought the puzzle piece as an autistic symbol meant like. I am a vital puzzle piece to your society. humans would never have invented half the things they did without us. you're telling me it means I'm missing something?? buddy. listen. listen to me reeeeaal closely. no human has all the pieces to humanity. no one. no one has all the features enables no one has all the strengths weaknesses or quirks. no one has a whole puzzle. we make the freaking complete picture together. that's the freaking point.

Apparently I'm a liar and got both D10 and Gordon finished quicker than I thought, so here's Diesel 10! Or his real name- Dominion Thrown. The tattoo on his arm glows and it travels over his shoulder to down his back, here is what it looks like normally-

10 has been brought on to assist Gordon with the express while he's been dealing with family stuff, he's not happy about it but finds himself fascinated with 10 for some reason. The were-creatures on the island however tend to stay clear of him, and the other mythos don't know why.
