My siblings and I discovered Harry Potter fan fics on some Harry Potter forum we were on looking for updates for the books and movies.

They weren’t really appropriate for young kids as one of them had Harry and Hermione half naked in a sleeping bed when they were 15.

I don’t remember if we gave up on the site because we figured out that there wasn’t anything useful there, or if a change to the formatting just made it too difficult to read (the posts became backwards, meaning the most recent posts were first and the first chapter was either at the end or who knew where as the writer might have posted multiple fics on the thread after finishing them) or if our parents asked us to not go back after hearing about teens trying to have sex with each other.

For context: I was 12-14 and there were at least two younger siblings reading along, 10-12 and 8-10; we might have been a little younger or a little older (if there was another younger sibling in the mix she is three years younger than the one that was 8-10 at the time).
