I’ll still be here too; I support Canon Ships, I do enjoy the occasional well written non Canon Ships too but I prefer Canon Ships, and after fighting the opinions of family, I have learned to not voice my Reylo Love to one family member because they are still struggling with the Storytelling Choices in the ST so far, so I’m not going anywhere.

I personally think that if Reylo becomes canon, the fandom will be totally abuzz after IX but the activity will die down once the DVD and all the supplemental materials have been released. Casual shippers will lose interest once there is nothing to anticipate or speculate about. Part of the reason this fandom is so active is the discourse and speculation over spoilers, news, leaks, etc. Once all is said and done, people will squeal and swoon for a couple of months and then they will move on.

Probably, yep. I will be one of the holdouts. (ง’̀-‘́)ง

Okay, you’ve seen the Hobbit movies but you just can’t get into the book.  Or, you read the book years ago and you don’t remember every detail.  I’m here to help.

1. Thranduil did not refuse to help the Dwarves when Smaug attacked.  We don’t know what he did - Tolkien never wrote anything about it.  Jackson’s preamble is complete fabrication.

2. Thranduil did not consider the Silvan Elves to be ‘lesser’ Elves:
