hey all, im remaking this post since (yet again) my last one has accrued a lot of notes but donations have all but stopped. my wife and i are dirt broke. neither of us have any income. i am technically employed but do not start work until the 24th, which means i cannot get UI and have no way to get income until I start work. my wife is unemployed (theyve been applying but nowhere has gotten back to them). They qualified for PUA, but we are still waiting for their proof of state residency documents to be verified in order for them to receive their benefits. we have exhausted pretty much every option available to us to get some form of income, but we are still broke and in desperate need of funds. my wife's venmo balance is in the negatives by about $70, and our $110 phone bill is going to be due the 23rd, one day before i start working. on top of that, we dont have any food in our house, and until we are able to go grocery shopping, we have been needing to rely on ordering take out to feed ourselves (which we havent been able to do because we have no money). my health is starting to take a turn for the worse because of stress due to our financial situation. any donations people can soare so we can try and get our bills paid off and feed ourselves until either my wife's PUA benefits arrive or i start work would help us so so so much. donations can be sent to my cashapp ($paladinbutch), venmo (@paladinbutch) or my paypal, thank you in advance!

yo being black and depressed is hard as fuck. being black with anxiety is hard as fuck. being black with a chronic illness or disability is hard a fuck. everybody expects you to be ‘strong’ at all times and no one sees black people as complex or nuanced enough to be capable of suffering. no one ever thinks we could possibly need help. and if you’re a black woman, the moment you stop thinking about others and try to tend to yourself you’re a selfish lazy ungrateful bitch.

support black people, esp women, who need help. don’t just call us strong or tell us we’ll get through it, help us. protect us. uplift us. allow us to be beings capable of suffering. give us the same space you’d give white women to express our pain and be there for us like you would for anyone else.
