For chapter 3 Sunny needs to get out of a situation where she uses the contents of her magic pouch. So far I have smoke bombs she throws to distract them, and a deck of throwing cards that are so glossed up she can throw them like ninja stars.

Here’s a snippet from a short story I’m working on set in my Sunny Mage universe (two years before the events in the main novel take place).

Sunny remembered where she had seen his face from: the Sports Illustrated magazine. The picture had not done Allister’s height any justice, he towered over Harmony’s bedside with the top of his head grazing the low hanging ceiling light.
