i managed to leave Israel (woo) but be denied access to the US (boo) so now im in a friend's place in Glasgow trying to figure out how the heck to go to NOT Israel once my welcome runs out on the 20th >.>.....

im really curious about people leaving israel rn! is it cool if i ask you some questions?

do you think people leaving israel like you did are mostly sabras or mostly people who recently made aliyah? are they more secular or religious, like antizionist orthodox jews?

and do you think the phenomenon of people leaving might end up weakening what voices exist on the israeli left, or lessening the chance that when netanyahu is finally ousted (as he better fucking be), a more left wing coalition might be able to step in, because less leftists would be in israel to vote?

thanks for any answers you can give, and i hope you take care of yourself - moving to a different country can be a lot to deal with!

thats a lot of complicated questions lets see...

obviously youd get a more accurate answer to a lot of these from literally any googling but these are answered from my experience and knowledge

* most people i see leaving israel are immigrants with double citizenships, though i am sabras and leaving with very few safeties ^^;

i heard that theres a lot of other people leaving also and i believe it but god do i not know

* i can only imagine most people leaving are left leaning.

if youre far enough right youre gonna want to stay to support israel i think

though there are scared people leaving from both sides to some capacity

* i feel like this can only lead to another strong right wing boost in israel and i dont know what one could do about that.

its not our country, not our israel, i dont care how left leaning its government ends up being.
