In the movies, the recently graduated, mid-twenties protagonist sets off on the journey of life and seems to immediately land a fantastic job, find a stellar unit in an even more luxurious apartment complex, gets a fancy car with a name that’s impossible to pronounce, is in a long term relationship from college and is going to receive a proposal within the next few months (but doesn’t know it yet), and basically, has life all figured out. If movies are going to portray young adult life like that, then that’s ideally what your twenties should be like, right? Being young, educated, ready to take on the world, further discovering yourself and finding true love.

This, however, is not what you imagined your mid-twenties to be like.

Cramped in a single seat of the Korean Air Airbus A330-200, you were up against Jungkook’s muscular chest, hands tightly holding onto the shoulder of his crisp white uniform. The cockpit of the airplane was narrow, with dozens of intimidating switches and levers behind you as Jungkook’s head fixed itself on your neck. 

Warm air wafted around in the cockpit as your head tilted to the side, your hair slowly unwinding away from the ribbon that secured it together. The sky blue uniform that hugged your curves crinkled against his chest and lap, wrinkling as Jungkook nibbled and kissed the skin of your neck, sucking until it turned a shade of red. You winced in his lap, knuckles turning white as you shuffled uncomfortably in the tight space.

“I’ve told you my ascot t-tie doesn’t cover them well…! Jungkook-”  

“Don’t worry so much, princess.” He cooed, removing his mouth only to stare up at you with his clouded eyes. “You’re always careful around passengers. I’m not worried.”

“S-still…! It’s ticklish." 

Jungkook broke out in a cute bunny smile, cheeks protruding out as he giggled, trying to keep you in place. Your face only flushed, eyes glaring daggers as you pushed yourself up and out of his hold.

TUESDAY, SEMESTER 2 WEEK FOUR

It’s a beautiful day, the sun has just come to peak out from behind the clouds that had earlier obscured its climb from the horizon, and the grass of the Biological Sciences Library courtyard glistens with raindrops left over from the brief shower that prefaced the sun’s belated appearance. Students are finally beginning to emerge from the safety of the undercover walkways and overhangs, venturing boldly to shortcut over the grass. University life resumes, and everything falls back into its place, all as usual.

“Yah, is that Jungkook? Wait what is he—”

Well, everything except for one thing.

A red and black-clad figure slams to a stop right where two students are sitting and minding their own business outside the café attached to the back of the library—there’s no time to say hello. The table rocks dangerously on its beaten, metal leg, the impact of Jungkook’s beeline almost sending it straight to the ground if the two others weren’t already seated there to catch it.

“OW!” Jimin is never one to be quiet in his complaints, all too happy to holler his outrage at the top of his lungs. As his oldest hyung would say, no attention is bad attention. “Hey you almost jammed my fingers!”

Startled as Taehyung might have been, his focus is quickly shifted to other things. His wide eyes scan Jungkook’s panting form, taking in the clothes clinging to him like a second skin and the beet red colour of his face and ears. It’s not hard to put two and two together, but what comes out of his mouth isn’t exactly the most pressing thing he wants to ask, “Jungkook, why are you wearing the female cheer leading uniform I gave you?”

There’s a somewhat crazed look that makes itself known in the youngest’s eyes. “AHA!” he throws a finger in Taehyungs face, accusing. “So you ADMIT it’s a female uniform! Taehyung, you ass, how could you!”
