MAKE IT STOP!!

Trust me, the finale shook me to my core. But I honest to god don’t think Tech is actually dead, something doesn’t sit right. No body, means no death in my head. I mean if you can come back from being visibly cut in half or burned alive via lava.

Then I’m sure a fall off a cliff won’t kill him. I bet he was taken back to Mount Tantiss. (Plus maybe when he returns he will have some kind of scar or thing he will have to deal with)

I know the finale didn’t go the way a lot of us wanted. But it sets up a super interesting season 3, and when they all get reunited. It will be even better. I’d rather have that, than an end to the show. (I just don’t want to wait a year until that happens).

But have faith, They have done a great job so far. And seeing how upset most of us are, that’s proof right there that they have written and brought to life extremely awesome characters. That we care about. Anyway, just my two cents.

Let's get into this "Tech is dead" thing...

Until someone from the show confirms that Tech is dead, I don't believe it. We've seen this before. Echo died in an explosion. Nope. Ahsoka fell when she dueled Vader. That didn't stick. Maul, Palpatine, Leia, Mace Windu...okay, that last one is still in the air. But my point is that we never saw a body. Face it. If they wanted Tech dead, they would have given him a shoulder wound. I lost track of how many times that proved fatal this season.

For starters, it would be a very bad move! Tech was probably the most loved character on the show even before they further developed his character this season. To remove him from the show would deprive a lot of people of someone who gives them a feeling of true representation in Star Wars.

Then there's Phee. That last "conversation" she tried to have with him was awkward and very specific. They animated him in such a way that he was obviously avoiding eye contact. He was uncomfortable. He didn't want to say goodbye. I don't think he knew how. It looked to me like they were setting us up for a reunion scene.

Now let's talk about Hemlock. Him being in possession of Tech's goggles is another reason I think he's alive. When he held out the goggles and said, "I'm afraid this is all I could salvage," it suggested to me that Hemlock has him. It doubly struck me since he had just used the term "fascinating" in the same spirit of scientific curiosity Tech had used earlier in the season with the Zillo Beast. The only way I can see Tech being alive but not captured in this scenario would be if there is a raging river or deep crevasse beneath the train and all they found nearby was the goggles. (Which means that, if he is alive, we will finally get that goggleless Tech we've been wanting to see so badly all this time.)

Let's not forget the most important thing of all. Tech is an incredibly capable soldier. He is resourceful, exceptionally well-trained, and was fully kitted-out when he fell. It's not hard for me to imagine him using a grappling hook and cable or other means to keep from falling to his death. He said it himself. He has the "ability to think clearly in stressful situations". And if Hemlock has him, he's going to need it.

All this gives me great hope for season three. If Hemlock does have Tech, he would have him transferred to Mt. Tantiss on Weyland. Now, Crosshair and Tech are together with other no-longer-Imperial clones. Omega is there with Nala Se, who wants Omega as far from there as possible. Nala Se is no longer in a cell, but working in a lab—under guard, but with access to equipment. Factor in Omega's clone sister and this has all the earmarks of an epic escape episode.

I saw that you offered to write me some comfort headcanons, so I hope it's alright if I request some. Maybe something about the characters comforting their s/o after a surgery or with chronic health issues. For the characters, could you maybe write for Eomer, Faramir, Merry Brandybuck and Fili please? Hope that's not too many, I figured you could just do it preference style. Lotr and The Hobbit characters comforting you after your jaw-surgery

Eomer

He would be so sweet to you. After the surgery your face is swollen and you’re in a lot of pain, so much so that for the next few days you can’t get out of bed. He knows how much you hate this, how you’d rather be outside or in the library, or just pacing around your room letting your thoughts drift this way and that, but now it brings you too much discomfort to do so. He makes sure that for the next three weeks he spends as much time with you as he can, asking Eowyn to keep you company when he does have to tend to his duties. He brings you bouquets of flowers so that you still have a bit of nature around you, he tells you stories about his childhood and the Rohirrim to keep you entertained and he presses soft kisses to your head to comfort you, telling you that you're beautiful and so very brave for taking the surgery. Once the swelling goes down and you feel better he will go on walks with you, loving the sight of you being out in the open again.

Faramir

This man has some knowledge in healing himself, and he will use that on your way to recovery. He wipes away the blood, makes sure you take your medicine on time, helps you clean your teeth and mouth and is very careful while doing it as he does not want to bring you any more pain than necessary. While you are bed-bound he brings books from the library and reads them to you, while softly combing his fingers through your hair. Because you can’t do much more than lie in bed for days, your chronic pain gets worse. Faramir will give you massages to try and elevate most of the pain and to regulate blood flow, and he will press soft kisses on your skin and whisper sweet nothings in the hopes it will distract you from the pain.

Merry

He hates seeing you in pain, and he especially feels bad when he learns that you have to be on a liquid diet for at least a week. He had hoped to cheer you up by cooking you some delicious meals, but seeing as that is off the table for the next two weeks he decides to take the liquid diet with you. You tell him that he doesn’t have to do that, but he insists. If you have to suffer a jaw surgery and then eat those disgusting liquids that they call food of all things, then the least he can do to support you is eat them with you. During your recovery he will do everything he can to keep you distracted and entertained; expect him to do some silly dances, tell you funny stories and maybe even some gossip he heard while out and about in the Shire. He will help you clean your mouth and has this adorable determined expression on his face whenever he does it, trying his hardest not to hurt you. After two weeks, he starts pulling you into shenanigans with him and Pippin again, though he does make sure you don’t strain yourself too much.

Fili

The moment you wake up in the hospital from your surgery, Fili is there with an ice-pack and kisses. His mustache-braids tickle your face as he nuzzles your hair, asking you how you are feeling. He will have some tea prepared for the nausea and some herbs for the pain. The moment he gets to take you home he is so sweet with you; fluffing the bed to make sure you’re comfortable, having you lay against his chest and singing songs to help you fall asleep. Once the pain and discomfort has lessened he brings you your sketchbooks and sewing supplies so that you don’t get bored, and he will sit and chat with you, telling you about the things that have been happening in Erebor. When the two of you began courting, Fili started to teach you Iglishmek, which comes in handy (pun intended) especially now. Whenever you need something you can ask Fili through sign-language, preventing any strain on your jaw. Fili wants to make your recovery as bearable as possible, so expect a lot of kisses and cuddles!
