It happened gradually, smoothly even.

Although, you’re not sure if the word ‘smooth’ is the right one to describe it. It happened slowly and gradually, that you barely noticed it but now that you look at all the clues and details, it makes a perfect sense and you come to think; how stupid were you? You should’ve seen it sooner. You should’ve focus on those details more. And most importantly, you should’ve never trust him the way you did.

Cheating is unforgivable and unforgettable. But there was still a time when you ignored it, purposely tried to be blind about it and pretended that it never happened. But it broke you even more. How can it not?

It started with the lack of his presence. The usual excuse; the work got busy and they needed me. Funny how the word ‘they’ should’ve been in a singular form rather than plural. And at first, you believed that. Why couldn’t he be busy? Being an idol practically screams busy and unavailable but even then, you as a couple managed to get through that. You respected his profession just like he did yours, there was no reason to compare your two different professions. You were proud of him, fuck, you still are. Despite of what happened, you’re still proud of him for working so hard to the point the whole word knows who he is and they praise him for his incredible ability to comfort people with his music and lyrics.

When YN wakes up, she’s alone. For a moment, everything is okay. Her eyes flutter open and she stares up at the tall ceiling, a crystal chandelier throwing rainbows across her face. She sits up and silk slides down her skin, pooling at her waist.

She blinks, temporary confusion washing over her.

Where is she?

It hits her like a truck. She’s been kidnapped. Or, rather, she’s traded herself to a trigger happy stranger in exchange for her parents’ lives. Her parents. A pit forms in her stomach just thinking about them. She has no real way of knowing if her “fiance” plans to go back on their deal or not. Her parents could be dead right now, bleeding out on their dingy kitchen floor with no one the wiser.

YN feels nauseous. She scrambles out of bed and heads to one of the doors in the opulent room, pulling it open. Unfortunately, it’s not a bathroom, so she shuts it immediately, opening another and stumbling inside. She barely makes it to the toilet before spilling her guts, retching over the golden seat until nothing but air comes up. Her fingers tremble against the cold metal and porcelain, barely able to maintain a grip on it.

“Are you done?” a cool voice calls out from the doorframe.

YN would have startled if she wasn’t so worn out. The best she can do is lift her head and wipe her mouth, glancing towards the source of the sound. The man staring at her is vaguely familiar, large nosed and sharp jawed, handsome in a way that’s hard to pull off. For a second, she can’t place her finger on it, and then she looks at his tatted hands and shrinks back.

He was the man who held a knife to her throat.

Contrary to what many think, Seokjin is very wise & mature and contrary to what many think, Yoongi looks strong only because he keeps big walls between him and the world. Only his dearest ones can see beyond the fortress he built to protect himself. This is why he is showing his vulnerable side so easily to Seokjin. They also walked the same path and lived the same events. But of them reacted to them differently. This is how Jin is even more admirable. He said once that he started having this “glass half full” instead of “glass half empty” mentality while becoming part of BTS. He keeps smiling to influence the others to smile too. He supports all the six other members and it works. He turns into a funny guy when time needs it and become serious when the situation calls for it. That’s why Yoongi said in the video above that he wants to start having a more positive way of thinking after he saw how Seokjin handles things. It won’t be easy. However, being near people that can influence you positively indeed helps.

Looking at this clip the iconic Yoongi quote: “What a relief we have 7 members. What a relief we have each other.” makes even more sense.
