Ok But Let's Talk About This Freaking Babygate 3.0.

Ok but let's talk about this freaking babygate 3.0.

THE PLANNING

Let's start by saying that this was well planned, and for sure the news didn't got leak as an accident. It's well planned for 2 main reasons:

1. The most obvious one, the news got leaked in the same week as the appearance on Fallon, and after a day ^that the news got leaked^ they also said the sex of the baby like, for real?

2. Look at her bday party, if she didn't want to let everybody know she have could. But she WANTED so I'm not surprised about the brooch or all that PINK.

And also, I don't know if she's really pregnant or no, but for sure it isn't Zayn's daughter.

REASONS SHE'S NOT PREGNANT

But here comes why people think she isn't pregnant:

1. She has been horse riding that is actually not recommended for pregnant women

2. People say that she has a small bump, but about that I have to say something. For people in the beauty industry is pretty normal to try to have a small bump because they have to keep their image and make it easier to lose the weight gotten with the pregnancy. In Italy we had a similar case with Chiara Ferragni.

This is Chiara 6 months pregnant, but she isn't a model, she just works in the beauty industry. So I don't know, it could be or not. But, in my honest opinion, Gigi doesn't look pregnant at all, just look at the birthday photo where you can see how she's dressed, not even a small bump. I don't know, complicated. I also wanted to say that in her last post she didn't include her belly in the photo so we can't actually see if there's a bump or not.

3. She went grocery shopping during the lockdown (I can't find the source sorry). That's what makes me say that maybe she is unconscious of what she does, because during a global pandemic the last thing a pregnant woman should do is going out of your home.

4. She has been drinking lots of coffee, that is actually not recommended during pregnancy.

5. ZAYN IS NOT WITH HER. He just isn't, I don't care if you believe in Ziam, Zarry, Zigi or whatever the fuck, he is not with her. We haven't got a single photo of them two together, the ones during her birthday were fake, not even on Jimmy Fallon he appeared. I mean, she's talking about the pregnancy and you are so happy and shit but you still don't say anything and don't even make an appearance just so people can say "at least he is with her during this hard moment". If he is as overwhelmed as she says, why he isn't with you? C'mon, nobody is believing this shit anymore. Zayn is in London, stop it.

For sure Zayn doesn't give a damn.

THE SHADING

Some hours before the news got leaked, The Weeknd posted this on his Instagram story

I don't know how he knew and I don't think it's just a coincidence.

So actually nobody, not even Maliks, liked that.

WHAT ABOUT ZAYN

What I personally think is that Zayn doesn't want anything to do with that. Nobody has ever said that he is the future dad, Gigi used the "we", Yolanda the "they", nobody ever pronounced Zayn's name. So I think Zayn is actually trying to get out of this uncomfortable situation, and if she is really pregnant then it will come out that she isn't Zayn's daughter but someone elses and they are going to not make it look like Gigi cheated on him. I think that they also didn't mention him so it can be easier to say that this isn't Zayn's children, because they never told that clearly. They confirmed the pregnancy, but never confirmed the baby was Zayn's.

JIMMY FALLON

Let me tell you something: she looks more excited talking about the cake than the baby. Like, look how excited she is. I also wanted to point out that when Jimmy says "Zayn" Gigi didn't say anything.

THE MISCARRIAGE THEORY

So, a lot of people has been bringing out the theory of faking a miscarriage.

Of course, if she really is pregnant, I wish her the best, literally. But if she isn't and she fakes a miscarriyng she is gonna lose the dignity she had. I'm not against abortion, but women that want a baby and then they lose it aren't happy at all. It's a very sad moment of everybody's life and the woman feels bad with herself. And if she really fakes it, than she'll be looking like she is joking about losing a baby accidentally. And, of course I repeat, if she really is pregnant I wish her the best, for real.

DUA LIPA

Recently Dua Lipa, a singer but also Gigi's brother's girlfriend, released her album. Before this happened it got leaked and Dua was really sad about it, she cried during a live. Everybody felt so sad for her of course. But now that her album came out, she is doing some interviews.

I mean, make up your own opinions. She was there to talk about her album and they started off with the pregnancy. Obviously I'm not blaming Gigi for this, but you can actually hear how Dua is pissed off. And she says that she didn't know that from a long time. Also in this interview too, when the interviewer says "Zayn" Dua didn't say anything.

I think that's all. If I forgot something or I made a mistake please let me know, I'd love that.

Also tell me what you think about this and your theory. Obviously, I'm still a Ziam, duh.

tbh it's not how touchy-feely zayn and liam are with each other that got me into believing they were real (all the boys are EXTREMELY affectionate with one another). For me it was small instances and moments that weren't meant for cameras and mics but accidentally got out anyway, like for me, it was at the NJR awards in 2013 where zayn was leaning into liam so much you'd have to blind (or straight) not to interpret that as romantic/non-platonic

I actually agree with you on that one.  The boys are all extremely affectionate with each other for sure, but I would argue that how Ziam are with other is different from the other boys [X X].  But I would definitely agree that the most undeniable moments are the ones not meant for cameras and mics that accidentally got out anyway, or the ones where Zayn and Liam seemed to not give a fuck or just happened to forget where they were.

Like, as you mention, the 2013 NRJ Awards.  I totally get what you mean, anon.  You really would have to be totally oblivious (or heteroblivious… bless the straights’ hearts) to interpret this as platonic.  Husband levels reaching critical mass…

Zayn was leaning right into Liam.  Right casually resting on him.  In this video you can see him doing it (he even acknowledges the camera for a second).

This was also the time when Zayn told Liam “I love you” in front of a live studio audience.  Excuse me while the flesh melts off my bones.

Intimate gestures at award shows are not unheard of, like when Zayn whispered into Liam’s ear as he rubbed his thigh at the 2013 VMAs, which the overhead camera caught when 1D won an award:

There are little hand holds and finger touches, like in this moment where they were taking a photo:

They even sneak these touchy-feely behaviors in the middle of taped interviews, possibly because they expect them to simply not be focued on or edited out, or because the editors simply missed the moment, or some combination of the two.  Like the MUZU.TV interview, which is 13 minutes of pure pain:

Really?  They look like freshmen college students trying to sneak touches in the middle of a seminar.  Maybe they just could not help themselves, or most of these little touches and lean-ins were subconscious.  Maybe they expected these moments not to make the final cut and they did anyway.

That’s the thing though: some of these intimate gestures happen in public, in situations where Zayn and Liam probably do not expect to be recorded and/or just deadass do not care—and it is their ordinariness that gives them away.  Like all the times that Zayn has held Liam by the waist or the small of his back:

As they say and I always make it a point to reiterate, queerness is an open secret.  It can be happening right before our very eyes and as long as there is enough plausible deniability and heteronormative conditioning [X X X X X], trust, know and believe that people will and do go through the mental loops and machinery to explain away the gay.

Because again, some of these unambiguously not platonic and very casual moments made the final cut, and I cannot help but think that Zayn and Liam were so casual about them because they simply figured that they would never make it past the editing and “fixing”—but due to shoddy editing, they did anyway.  Like the infamous lap sitting moment from 1D Day:

Which again, happened multiple times, in public.  Like it was no big deal.  I get the feeling these moments somehow slipped past the publicity machine and reached us:

We know that the boys are all cognizant of their own behavior in public, because they occasionally break form and make some indication of it.  For example, when Liam leans into Zayn after Zayn picks him up off the floor and presses his lips into Zayn’s arm, only to stop after he looks off camera where a handler is—as if he realizes that he is doing something that he “should not be,” and that he could get in trouble for it.  (In the video the handler’s voice is heard at one point and the boys respond to them by looking their direction.)

And we know that they can get in trouble for being “too touchy” in public, like when an off camera handler seems to gesture to Liam to stop leaning into Zayn, which makes Liam do so, but not without loudly sighing exasperatedly while looking rather sour:

Some of these very non-platonic moments happen in the middle of concerts, where literally thousands of people with recording devices are watching.  As if they are subconscious, or they think they can get away with it and that no one will notice, or they are already covered by heteronormative biases and straight-is-the-norm goggles [X X X X] and the well-wrought machine of closeting and publicity [X X X X X | X X X] that encourage people to explain these moments away:

What makes these moments particularly intimate is that they are not just gentle face touches, but that in the first moment Liam is clearly down (a relative of his had died the night of that concert) and in the second Zayn is obviously annoyed with Liam.

More small gestures of intimacy, like Liam and Zayn’s “fist bump”:

Remember when Liam fell on stage and Zayn rushed to his side?  And rubbed his inner thigh?  Totally not an invasion of your platonic bro pal’s personal space.

I loved Liam's video and I kinda lost my breath when he said "Ziam" but I'm not here for this. I'm here to talk about a second that really made my head go

Listen very closely.

After he says "I find it funny too, I understand it" there's a cut and he is laid on his chair. Right at that moment you can hear a voice. Listen carefully to this voice. Because it has a pretty heavy accent. And I don't wanna say bullshits, but this sounds like Zayn. Tell me if I'm wrong.

I mean, I feel like he did that on purpose, because he could've just cut that part and just start with "I hope you enjoyed this" without that pause.

And I wanna think he did this because of all that Zigi drama (and yes, I don't think it is Zayn and maybe if you want I can make a post about that), but I actually could be wrong.

What do you think about that?

Maybe he didn't even edit the video himself, maybe it was just a mistake, maybe he wanted it to be that way. A lot of maybe, we're never going to know the truth.
