Today is a very hard day.

For those of you who dont know me that well, SHINee was my very first bias group. I loved them so much, and they were the first group to bring me out of the gutter, and therefore have always been so incredibly important and special to me.

It hurts so much to know that Jonghyun has passed away, that he struggled for so long and hardly anyone would have even known about it.

As someone who suffers from depression and has attempted suicide, and thankfully was unsuccessful, I know how horrible it feels to live in such pain.

The only thing I can say now is, while it is tragic, Jonghyun felt this was the solution to his problems and we can only hope he passed without regrets in making this decision and is resting in peace.

We should all remember him as the amazingly talented man he was, not for the tragedy that has occurred and let his life live on through the music he shared with us.

He wouldn't want anyone to be heartbroken because of this, and for everyone to receive joy from what he did accomplish in his life.

I know a lot of people are not posting out of respect for Jonghyun, but I also know that some people might need the posts as a coping method, and therefore I will update one of my stories tonight, and possibly finish a request or two. It'll be much later in the evening, perhaps even tomorrow instead, so for now, I give my condolences to SHINee and Jonghyun's friends and family, and wish that he rests in peace. He was and still is a legend. Always will be.

Sometimes, Soonyoung was like a hamster. He’d scrunch up his nose whenever he wanted her attention, whenever he liked what Kai said or whenever he didn’t like what she said. He was an affectionate one, sometimes it would be taxing because he would curl up on the sofa with his head on her lap and it would be a challenge to get Soonyoung to wake up.

There were moments where Soonyoung was like a cat. The way he would nuzzle his face into Kai’s back when they went to bed each night, but he also had his moments where he would deny Kai’s need for affection and just wander off wherever he went. He was a little weird in that regard, there were days where Soonyoung would only come to her when it was time to eat…

Perhaps the most amusing was when he was like a puppy, excitable and she could never get him to calm down. Soonyoung would pull her around wherever he wanted to take her, and it honestly felt like nothing could stop this man. 

Soonyoung was uncontrollable, it was like Kai took care of a pet she didn’t ask for. 

But the side of Soonyoung she loved most was when he was nothing and everything mentioned, and he was now just… Soonyoung. Who would hold her hands at the coffee shop each time she talked about her dreams, entwining their fingers when they were in bed to help her sleep. Playing to her dark sense of humour without a blink, reading all of her books, though he wasn’t one to read, just so he could entertain her with discourse on the topic. 

(Later, he learned that he too enjoyed her taste in books, and Kai couldn’t be any happier.)

He cared for her like no other, making sure she was warm each night, helping Kai to sleep when she struggled to, but staying up either way when he saw that she couldn’t. Soonyoung always made sure Kai fell asleep in his arms, and would wake up in his arms too. If not, at least she would wake up holding a miniature doll version of Soonyoung she had lovingly called Soondori. 

He had his moments where he was out of control, definitely, but Kai loved each and every bit of it, and every bit of Soonyoung too.
