Omg this is so adorable!!!!

Hey Karl you think whenever BF or GF just hit Pico with a random hug no matter the circumstance his face just crumbles into the most vulnerable and yearning look and suddenly the hug lasts for 20 minutes because they don't have the heart to pull away when Pico lays his arms around their backs in the most gentle way possible

A comic, focusing on Pico and Girlfriend, based on the ask above. The general palette is muted, consisting of dusty browns with the character's usual palettes edited to reflect. The following description is in order of how the panels are to be read:

1. Pico is sitting slouched on a couch, face a bit dark as he is tired, and staring intently at his phone. A scribble comes from him, showing he is irritated; a note to the left of him reading: "has been re-reading the same paragraph for 5 minutes".
A speech bubble behind him and in the upper left of the panel repeats "bla" over and over, it being blurred to show he isn't paying attention. This bubble is connected to another, which is at the bottom right and is cut off by the edge of the panel. The visible text reads: "Hey, Pico, do yo-" "anything? We-" It is also blurred, though less than the first bubble.

2. Pico is startled by Girlfriend suddenly hugging him, setting his phone down on the couch cushion and looking at her in surprise. Girlfriend has her arms wrapped around his waist, and is smiling with her eyes closed as she leans over to him.
A speech bubble, connected to the last one on the previous panel and coming from Girlfriend, reads "Hey, Earth to Pico! G'morning, sleepyhead~." There is a loop in the line connecting it to the previous bubbles that is shaped like a heart, a tiny heart coming from the top dip in the loop, and the line going to Girlfriend is squiggled to vaguely resemble a heart, as well.
A tiny bit of saturation comes in a gradient at the right side.

3. Pico has turned to be facing Girlfriend, face blank and hand hovering as he pauses. There is a vertical ellipses to the left of him.
This panel, while still a bit dull, is more saturated than the previous two.

4. Girlfriend starts to continue with "I was trying to ask if you-" but the writing blurs near the end and she stops herself as Pico reciprocates the hug, starting to wrap his arms around her neck. His eyes are closed as he blushes a bit. The word "nuzzle" is written in caps vertically with a bit of a wave, three hearts drawn around it.
This panel is very slightly more saturated than the last.

5. A close up with Pico's head now turned in towards Girlfriend's head. He is now holding his hands together, the word "gentle..." written on top to indicate his grip is very soft.

6. A reverse shot showing Girlfriend staring at him, mouth open and blushing hard, clearly surprised by his reaction.
The background of this panel is a salmon pink, with a yellow gradient coming up from the bottom and a yellow burst behind the pair. An ellipses is on the bottom left side of the panel, followed by a "..!" on the bottom right.
This panel is the most saturated.

A note between panels reads "20 minutes (and a reposition) later..."

7. This panel is not closed in by anything, taking up the whole background of the strip. The top is a gradient going from dark down to light at the bottom to where the scene starts, below the previous panel.
Boyfriend walks into the room, visible on the bottom left and waving his hand. His speech bubble, which starts to the right and barely overlaps the previous panel, reads "Girlfriend! Ba, beebop skdoo Pico? Bip skdabeep brep bo-" which has the following translation underneath: "Girlfriend! Hey, have you seen Pico? I don't think he slept well last night and I-" This is connected to another, smaller bubble that reads "Baa..!", the translation underneath being "Oh..!"
In the background, Girlfriend is still sitting on the couch, having moved so her back is against it while Pico is cradled in her lap. Her eyes are large and watery while she is still blushing, overwhelmed with positive emotion.
A note to the left of GF's head and with an arrow pointing at her reads: "he has never been this soft with her before". Another note, to the right of Pico's torso and pointing at him reads: "fell asleep near-immediately".
While the rest of the panel goes back to being a bit dulled, though not as much as the starting two, Girlfriend and Pico are still as saturated as the 6th panel.

Close-ups of my personal favorite shots LOL. I also really like how Boyf came out here but he's already Huge in the piece so he doesn't need a close-up.

Do you ever think BF and GF get super emotional when he's soft with them? This guy, known for his fuckin' Bite with an attitude developed partially for self-defense, melting at their touch and allowing them to see his more gentle side? Something that nobody else will ever get to see?

The demon and the rapper are nice by default. Boyf can be a bit of a menace and Girlf is not afraid to show her demonic side when necessary, but they're kind to others as a default, maybe even to a fault. Not that Pico doesn't ever show kindness to others, but he's usually prickly and standoffish; his kindness could come off in ways that read almost as passive aggression. And yet, around the two idiots (used affectionately lol) he's like putty in their hands.

Anyways idk what I'm on abt really I just think if you gave him the choice he would literally melt into their embraces. Safe, and protected in their arms; for once, he isn't the one who has to do the protecting. I think the worst part of a hug to him would be having to let go.
