It had been a few months since Red renounced her crown and took room in her sister's kingdom. The change was incredibly strange to her, feeling like she should not be able to roam about or make conversations. As if she felt herself more a being of prisoner than guest. Red eventually gave up attemps of talking to her previous lovers, selecting silence and small gestures when she saw them. In her head she could not find a reasonable excuse or explanation of her actions in the past. While she elected to sit in her quarters and keep to herself most days, her eldest daughter would attempt to force words out of her.
Melanie always demanded an explanation, not even an apology, of what her mother did and attempted to do. Yet, Red could not muster one up nor did she feel like lying to give her daughter closure. Of course, the silence from her mother only made her angry. Melanie began visiting her Aunt's castle more often to find more opportunities to catch her mother. This day was no different.
Melanie made her way down the corridor to her mother's room, determined to get her answer this time. Once she reached the red painted door, she didn't hesitate to knock. There was no answer. But, there was shuffling inside. Taking a calming breath, Melanie opened the door and saw her mother sitting at a desk writing in a journal. Her elegant red gown was gone and now she wore something akin to commoner dress. Her hair wasn't done, nor her makeup. Red didn't look like the woman that held herself above everyone around her anymore.
Shaking her head at her mother's state, Melanie shut the door behind her and leaned her back against it. Red paused for a second but kept writing, electing more silence. Melanie chewed her lip before speaking.
"Mother, you must talk to me eventually," Silence. "Mother. I'm not leaving until I get an answer."
"I do not have the answer you seek, Child." Red glanced over her shoulder, pen hovering above the paper.
"Lies. You must have one. One does not attempt murder without cause."
"Even if I did have what you ask of me, would that make you happy? Would any answer make you happy?"
"Any answer would be better than constant silence!"
Red slammed her pen on the desk and stood, facing her daughter with a stern look only a mother would have. "Do not raise your voice at me, child."
"I shall raise my voice if I so please. You never gave me anything yet you somehow took it all away! Look what you did to Father, to my siblings... To Hatter." She closed her eyes and hung her head down. "I've never liked that man, but even I can see the way to danced atop his heart and left him with bruises."
Red blinked, unknowing what to say. The familiar silence filled the space again. Quiet sniffs echoed around them. Melanie kept her head down and her voice quiet to keep the tears from breaking it. "I just want to know why you don't love me... What did I ever do to you to deserve your hatred.. I just wanted a mother that would love me.."
With her hand outstretched, Red took a small step towards her daughter. "Melanie.. I... I do not hate you. I've never hated you... I was terrified of you."
Melanie's head snapped up with a look of confusion across her face. "You were scared of me-?"
"Look at you father, Love. You are so special and strong. I was scared you were to overthrow me. To become a threat over a daughter. In my fear, that is all I knew to do. Unfortunately your mother can only deal with threats by eliminating them. I should have known better than to act on my fear but..." She dropped her hand and turned her head to the side. "I am not fit to mother you or any of your siblings. I...I apologize. Even if it means nothing now."
The silence returned as the two stared at one another. Melanie took in her mother's words for a few moments before pushing herself off the door and tightly hugging her Mother. Red staggered back, surprised at the affection, but slowly returned the embrace. Feeling her mother finally hug her after all this years brought tears to her eyes. Melanie couldn't help but quietly sob into her mother's dress. Red ran her fingers through Melanie's hair, enjoying the warmth of her daughter. The two stayed that way for a few whiles. Melanie pulled back enough for Red to wipe her face dry of tears. The two smiled at one other before Melanie spoke.
"Thank you mother. That is all I ever wanted. Now you just have to apologize to everyone else."
Humming happily to herself, Gwen checks her appearance over in the mirror. A skintight, black leather dress with matching heels and a killer red lip to complete the look. Once satisfied with her adjustments, she walks over to her nightstand. She clicks open a secret compartment on the underside reveal a jagged dagger stained dark red around the handle. Gwen slips the knife into her purse as she made her way out of her room.
Samuel stood in the hallway, looking his half-sister up and down. He was rather interested in such a sight. "What's with the get up?"
Gwen glances up with a smile, both looking innocent and mischievous simultaneously. "Oh, I added myself on a dating site and some sorry fuck wanted to take me out to drinks."
The older half demon folded his arms with a knowing look. "You're just gonna kill him, aren't you?"
Her smiled widened "Horrifically."
He couldn't help but check her over again, slowly, biting his bottom lip as he did so. "It's a shame we're siblings."
Gwen walks over to him, the sound of her heels clicking the floor echoing. Once incredibly close to him, she ran her fingers over his cheek. "Oh, sweetie, we're demons. Blood doesn't matter." She giggles at the way he side eyed her. As She started her way towards the front door, he called after her.
"I already have a girlfriend, yknow."
"Baby, you keep looking at me like that and you won't anymore."
A shuffle against him made Amasa glance down at the demoness using him as a living pillow. Valentine had her head resting on his shoulder, curled up with her own eyes transfixed on the TV. He was watching a movie by himself until his friend came into the room and asked to join. He didn't want to be rude and say no; now he was here. Amasa wasn't exactly upset about it. His love was out with her "other man", apparently trying to fix whatever Taehyung had messed up this time.
His lips curled into a smile seeing her so comfortable. Some kind of attention was better than none, in all honesty. Amasa didn't see his current love life in a good light right now. His girlfriend constantly going back to her ex and now he feared he likes his best friend more than he could admit.
He wasn't sure what to do.
Any option he has seems like the worst decision.
Amasa sighs before deciding to lay his head against Val's. He didn't see her smile as he closed his eyes and buried his face into her blonde hair.
Red somehow managed to find a way to reconnect to her Daughter. The last words stuck in her head as she walked about the castle. She did need to reconcile with the rest of those close to her. Though, she wasn't sure if it would be easy task. Nor did she know who to approach first.
After a few moments of consideration, she found herself outside the Caterpillar's office. A hesitant hand hovered over the door to knock.

My OCs turning into Human/Non-human:
Amasa: He had never felt tired before in his life. It was strange but he didn't think anything of it, deciding to just see if a short nap would help. A quick 30 minutes turned into all day. As he slowly blinked back to the waking world and sat up in his bed, he was shocked to see the room pitch black. Groggy and no feeling of refresh in his body, he made his way to the bathroom. The sight in the mirror caused him to jump back; his eyes were light brown instead of their usual black. He didn't remember changing them when he awoke. He tried to change them back but to no ivail. He then tried to teleport himself to get help but went nowhere. He stared down at his own hands in disbelief. "What the fuck is happening...?"
AJ: She hated being human and would beg Lucifer to let his father change her. Of course, his answer was always a hard no. AJ eventually stopped asking but it wouldn't stop her from dreaming of being a demon. One day, as she went about her usual business taking care of the kids and house, she noticed her back hurt more than usual and that any appetite or tiredness alluded her. It was strange but her demon boyfriend was out on a quick job so she couldn't ask for help. As she was complaining about the days events to her oldest daughter, she sneezed; two white, bird like wings sprouted from her back. Her daughters gasp made her look back and scream. Shooting to her feet, she did her best to look back at her new appendages. "What the hell are these? When did I fucking get wings??"
Samuel: Being a hybrid he still had his human tendencies, like eating and sleeping. He hated having to care for his human side and always wished his mother wasn't human so he wouldn't be cursed at half power. Granted he took his frustration out on innocent humans rather than his own mother. Regardless, his human girlfriend made sure he took care of himself. Unlike today, as he passed out with her on his bed after fighting sleep for a few days. He woke up before her an hour or so later. He felt different but couldn't put his finger on why exactly. Being too lazy to walk to the kitchen, he went to teleport himself there; in his bed he stayed. He immediately became angered at his powers not working and tried again and again and again. Each time he failed making him more and more angry. He finally tapped her awake, trying not to be rough in doing so. "Baby. Baby girl, get up. Somethings fucking wrong and I'm about to lose my goddamn mind."
Melanie: She didn't mind either side of her heritage; both seemed okay to her. Her brother always bugged her to 'pick a side' but she never really wanted to. To her, each side had its perks and downsides. So when she went to practice her magic with her uncle and nothing was working even the slightest bit, she was confused more than angry. Excusing herself to see if maybe relaxing would help, she made her way to the bathroom. Her reflection in a hallway window caught her attention. She stopped and backed up a few steps to look at herself; both of her eyes were brown. No longer mismatched as they had been since she was born. She stared at her reflection in confusion as she called out calmly "Nick, come here a minute... I need you to see this"
Minhyuk: He always felt out of place among his siblings. He and Kyungah the only 2 out of 7 that were fully human. He tried not to let it bother him and focus his energy on his computer. He usually spent time working on his music or gaming, the hours always getting away from him. He could very easily pull all nighters without even noticing and tonight was no different. He didn't even notice two days ticked by and he hadn't eaten or slept as he sat by himself. It wasn't until he got an achievement in his game for "48 hours continus play" that he finally got up. How had he spent 2 days without water or sleep and still feel like he had the best rest and meal of his life? He thought about going into the living room to ask his mother but he soon found the room around him fading quick. He went to panic but the living room materialized around him. He looked around completely freaked as his siblings stared at him. Melanie pipping up first "Did you just... teleport?" He looked at her bewildered "D-did i-?"
Kyungah: Kyungah hated non-human things with a passion. Especially demons. Angels confused her, werewolves were weird and vampires were terrifying. Living with at least one of each her entire life wasn't very fun for her. She kept to herself and avoided talking to anyone as much as possible. She was very upset with herself when she developed a crush on an angel, but at least it wasn't a demon. As she got herself ready for a date with said angel, she noticed she wasn't feeling very well. Her head was pounding and she felt on fire. She contemplated calling him to cancel as she carefully sat herself on her bed. Going to rub her forehead from the pain, she stopped when she felt something hard poking out of her skin. Running her fingers over the oddity, she felt her heart pick up in speed. They felt like horns. She quickly grabbed her phone and opened the camera app, Facing it towards herself. A hand flew up to her mouth when she noticed two ram horns jetting out from her head. Tears filled her eyes as she reached to touch them again. "H-horns.. I have horns...?"
Erik: Erik loved nothing more than his heritage. Being from a long line of Wolves, he felt proud carrying on the family. The feeling of shifting was enough to give him energy for days afterwards. Granted once he switched back to his human form he was usually dog tired. He rubbed the sleep from his face as he woke up, stretching out his muscles from a good night of running. He got through his usual daily routine, complete with spending time with his fiesty girlfriend. After putting their dinner and drinks away, he sat on the couch and went to shift to cuddle up to her but he stayed in his human form. He was confused, noticing that his sense of smell seemed to dwindle; much of the various smells he was used to vanishing. He also seemed colder than usual, no longer feeling like a walking furnace. His face scrunched up in confusion. "Cel, do I feel colder to you at all?"
Charles: He was a child by demon standards, barely old enough to be allowed in the human world as he was. He didn't look like a child, however. His tall height making him Tower over every person he met, no one guessing his age. He never thought of his massive height a demon trait, but when he went to climb up to his girlfriend's window that night, He noticed that the spaces were much spaced out than he remembered. Thinking nothing of it, he made his way up and into her room. Shushing her giggles to keep her parents from hearing. He laid in her bed next to her, assuming his position to keep her safe from nightmares. He started to feel tired but shook it off. Soon she fell asleep and as the hours ticked by, he realized his dreams were becoming faded and fuzzy to him. When he could no longer see them, he gently tapped her awake. "Mishka..? Mishka, wake up... I can't see your dreams.."
Siren: The way she became what she was was traumatic but God did she feel better as a vampire. She didn't feel weak, and even made an entire new personality to go with her new found powers. The years of living off of blood were some of her best and she would never wish it away. She smiled as Melanie tossed her a new blood bag from the donors in town. Her boyfriend may be vegan but she could never give up the main part of her diet. Ripping the bag open, she stuck a straw into the bag and took a big sip. She immediately gagged and choked on the substance, dropping the bag and spitting out the blood. Some dripping down her chin as she tried to catch her breath. The taste was foul, her body immediately rejecting what has kept her alive for years. She tried not to vomit at the aftertaste in her mouth "God fucking dammit! What the hell? I've never had one this bad! God it tastes like rotten garbage!"
