It's been said before but Dishonored really hit upon a wild and hilarious worldbuilding concept when they made the basic principles of the main fundamentalist-type religion "god is definitely real but he's EVIL and must be thwarted and resisted." Like they don't seem to believe in any "true" god in place of the Outsider? They don't seem to worship or talk about any other deity, and while they have the seven Strictures those don't seem to have been handed down by any higher power. I think it's actually a kind of galaxy-brained commentary on various forms of fundamentalist Christianity that are like, far more concerned with "influences of Satan!!!" than anything else, but I'm not sure whether that was intentional or not lol.

Has anyone considered that perhaps there is no deeper meaning to Signalis and perhaps it is simply the video game adaptation of this meme?

Look... I'm a very live and let live kind of person. You're allowed to write about whatever you want, I just wish people would tag it properly. Just tag your incest as incest!!! Makes life easier for everyone in the fandom! It's such a simple and easy thing to do! I get tired of having to dig up so many different tags just to filter it all out. It could be as easy as one tag if people would just add it!
