Well, I Dont Know If Ill Be Going The Full-length For Inktober This Year, But I Happened To Stumble Upon

Well, I don’t know if I’ll be going the full-length for Inktober this year, but I happened to stumble upon this character prompt on pinterest and it had a whole bunch of prompts that inspired me so this happened. Yeah. with all the editing and color I put into this it hardly feels like ink anymore but there was ink involved XD so... it counts, right? XP

Saw @niwawings15 posted her part of the art challenge so I thought, why don’t I post mine? ...It looks scribbly and childish and horrible, that’s why. XD; and yet here I am... Ignore the horizontal line going through the sail, I drew this on two pages of marker paper because I didn’t want to have to redraw it because I placed the boat up too high... XP

This was a really fun exercise. Good practice too, and lots of nice references to work from. XD Though the third one honestly creeped me out and I almost quit, I pressed on XD;; Wish I coulda done freckles on the fourth guy since I picked out that reference, but alas, it was kinda sorta timed so. XD; But yeah art challenges like this are fun, I wouldn’t mind doing something like this again sometime! Tis good practice~

@paigecofferillustration So @enjoliquej introduced me to this Draw This In Your Style challenge and she was right about one thing, this char is definitely my aesthetic. Kinda a scrubby paint thing I tried to neaten it up a bit, but it’s still pretty scrubby... Maybe I’ll come back to it later and touch it up again, I don’t know >.e I’m about ready to be done with it though. Probably ain’t gonna win any awards for this piece of work, but it was a really nice study in color theory and how these things worked together~ Twas fun!
