Maria completely froze when she spotted the two kings, her eyes wide with horror before narrowing into a sharp, burning glare at Amon.
“Amon, you didn’t tell me that someone was in here.” She hissed through her teeth lowly at the spirit, embarrassed. Amon only blinked at his stupid mistress. Did he really have to tell her that two beings were in the room? Humans. Seeing the lack of response, Maria groaned, rolling her eyes at the wolf before turning to the kings.
“Don’t mind me. I’m just...passing through. Nothing to see here at all. Just getting something to eat. I’ll be in and out as quickly as possible.” She said quickly, slowly edging her way to the kitchens. This was awkward.

Seeing a few soldiers come out from inside the palace, Maria deduced that the party was over and got up from her spot. She had been out there for hours and was almost numb from the cold. She should’ve brought a cloak, a coat, a blanket or something. Walking past the knights with her wolves behind her, Maria was about to enter her room when her stomach let out a low growl “Damn. I finished the mangoes an hour ago.I need real food.” She mumbled to herself before looking down at Amon. “Amon, can you take me to the kitchen?” She asked the large being, getting a look before the wolf walked in front of her, leading her to the dining room. Since the wolf didn’t react to the men in the room, Maria thought it was empty and walked in behind him.
The Lord of Eleum Loyce raised an eyebrow. That was unexpected, she didn’t wander off somewhere else while he was busy with his knights and the guests? A true surprise.
Arcturus arched one slim eyebrow:
“Well well, we have an extra guest I see?”
Understanding the glance, Maria whistled lowly to her wolves and tiptoed out of the dining room. Softly closing the door, she let out a soft breath before continuing on to her room. However, once she entered, she realized that it was littered with books. Not good.
“Whelp. I guess I can just eat a bit while we take these back to the library.” She sighed, taking up as many books as she could before walking back out the door. It was a tiring journey filled with grunts, groans, and minor cursing but she eventually managed to get to the library safe and relatively sound. Amon opened the door, letting her in first before following.
Maria let out a heavy sigh before she stopped. Squinting, she could see a tiny bit of light not too far from her. The barely lit form of an arm was just barely noticeable. Would’ve missed it if she wasn’t paying attention.
“Hello?” She called out, dropping her bag to ignite a fireball in her hand. Both for light and defense.

Arlo watched the two humans curiously, confused by their strange words. He didn’t know who Idalion was nor Gwyn, but he did know that he did not care. He was about to get closer when his mother, Amarata, snapped at him, telling him to get back over to her. Now.
Whimpering, he scurried back to his mother’s side, his tail between his legs. Inside the kitchen, Maria had finally settled with some fruits, cheese and bread. Not quite the meal her mother would’ve made but a meal nonetheless.
“Okay, that should be more than enough. Let’s go, Amon. I still need to practice the magic of this world.” Maria commanded, stepping out of the kitchen, only to stop when she realized that she had stepped into a moment. Frozen, her mind couldn’t decide on what to do. Should she go back into the kitchen and just wait till they leave? Keep walking? Pretend she was blind and walk to her room? Run at top speed?
Fortunately for her, Leeroy only spared a sideways look -
The palace’s library was dead quiet at this time of the night, just perfect for him.
Kasimir unfurled the scroll he had plucked from his belt on the table before him after setting his lantern down. Wrath of the Gods… an ancient, primeval miracle that had only been entrusted to the few that proved their worth to the King of Loyce, his father.
A smirk curled the prince’s lips as he read the tale inscribed in it, the story of Gwyn’s firstborn and the tales of his might in punishing those that had proven themselves as enemies to the god of war. The story of his wrath, the scale of his strength: though while the contents were of awe…
He paused, sighing. Gods, his father trusted him enough to give him this at last?

She could hear a loud voice speaking but it was too muffled to properly hear the words. Oh well, probably nothing important. Shrugging her shoulders she went back to reading but the noise was distracting her too much. Slamming the book closed, she grabbed her bag, whistled at the spirits to follow her, and opened the door. Taking one glance down the hall where the source of the noise was, she shook her head and went the opposite way.
Eventually, she made her way outside to a courtyard. The night was peaceful here, the sky cloudless, revealing the stars in all their glory. Taking a moment to breathe, Maria leaned against the stone wall and quietly searched the sky. Trying to find anything familiar. Something that could tell her that she was still in the Spiral somehow, someway. But she found nothing. Nothing but twinkling balls of light.
Disappointed, she made her way another section of the wall and sat on top of a block, her wolves arranging themselves to lay around her in formation. Opening the book to her page once more, she got back to work.
“I’ve already arranged for your knights to have secure lodging with my troops in the barracks. Nobody will be sleeping out there in the cold tonight.” Leeroy waved his hand, dismissing the rest of the Eleum Loyce Knights. It was getting late, and the prospect of a bed? That was getting more and more appealing by the minute.
Arcturus only laughed, forest green eyes twinkling. The Sorcerer King sat back in his chair, propping his legs onto the table: abyss have mercy on his soul to resist the urge of laying his hands on his lover again.
“I know you would spare no expenses in treating all of us as guests of utmost importance, Wolf Knight. It’s you after all.”
Should I?
Should I add other Lucettes from the other AUs I have to my roleplay list? I don’t want to intimidate anyone but I do want to tell the world about Lucette’s “sisters”. I love them all so much.
