Steddyhands Long Weekend Day 4 ~ Free Choice
For the Steddyhands Long Weekend Challenge I decided to make cover art for a few of my fave steddyhands fics. Both Ed and Stede believe they are dating Izzy, but Izzy has no clue what is going on and can't figure out why his captains are acting so strangely. This story is deeply silly, everyone shares exactly one brain cell, but it is also fluffy and sweet.

Steddyhands Long Weekend Day 3 ~ Shore Leave
For the Steddyhands Long Weekend Challenge I decided to make cover art for a few of my fave steddyhands fics. In this story Izzy and Stede are falling for each other, and neither one of them is happy about this fact.
Ship Sunday: Picard/Q
[ID: On the right is an image of a young Q and Picard standing next to each other. On the left is an older Q and Picard hugging. The background is a yellow-greenish glass window. In the foreground is designs of clocks and spiral stars. Text reads 'Qcard, Jean-Luc Picard/Q'. The Fanlore logo is in the top right hand corner. /End ID]
Captain Jean-Luc Picard’s antagonistic relationship with the godlike trickster “Q” of the mysterious Q Continuum was a recurring plot throughout Star Trek: The Next Generation, and recently, the two were reunited once again in Star Trek: Picard.
Their encounters are rife with subtext. Scenes like Q appearing in Picard’s bed and saying “Morning, darling” helped Picard/Q, more recently known as QCard, become one of the major slash pairings of ST:TNG fandom. Many fans feel it's hard to explain Q's behavior without assuming he's in love with Picard. Ron Moore, writer of several key episodes featuring Q, said in Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection #90: “Q was in love with Picard, for some reason. That was the underpinning of the relationship...“
Get to know more about Picard/Q on Fanlore, including how its fanfiction has explored gender, power dynamics, and what it means to be human.

Steddyhands Long Weekend Day 4 ~ Alternative Universe
For the Steddyhands Long Weekend Challenge I decided to make cover art for a few of my fave steddyhands fics. A modern AU story where Stede opens a bakery across the street from a bar owned by Ed and Izzy. When Ed starts showing an interest in him Stede is determined to make being throuple work, even though no one asked him to.
TW: Izzy is trans in this fic, so there are a few moments of transphobia (not from Ed or Stede), there is also an attempted SA scene and discussions of past abuse.
Comics Month: Resurrection, Reconstruction, and Redemption
[ID: Banner with a red and yellow background featuring Captain America's shield in the top right hand corner. In the bottom left hand corner is Iron Man's mask, and beside it are the words 'Fanwork Friday'. The text reads 'Resurrection, Reconstruction, and Redemption'. The Fanlore logo is in the center. /End ID]
Declared to be the fic that launched Stony, today we're reading Resurrection, Reconstruction, and Redemption by Elspethdixon & Seanchai.
A novel-length fic set within Marvel's 616 comicsverse, it is a fix-it fic for the Civil War story arc, known for its well-structured plot and characterization. It was also many fans' first exposure to the idea of Steve Rogers and Tony Stark being in a ship together, with some reading the story with little to no canon knowledge, and it inspired many of those same fans to try their hand at creating their own Stony fanworks.

Trope Tuesday: Red Kryptonite
[ID: Banner graphic featuring many red, shiny crystals. Bold, angular text superimposed across the crystals reads “Red Kryptonite”. The Fanlore logo is in the top left corner with the words “Trope Tuesday” beside it. /End ID]
This Trope Tuesday, we're featuring Red Kryptonite—a plot device from Superman. It is popular with both the Smallville and Supergirl television series fandoms.
The trope quickly gained popularity amongst fans, especially after it became apparent that Red Kryptonite was a canon sex pollen in the Smallville TV series.
