Wow everybody wants Kate headcanons today, well ask and ye shall receive! Kateva headcanons for my beloved lesbians!!

Eva plays the guitar, and she sometimes writes small songs or comes up with wordless tunes just for Kate

They both like to play with each other’s hair, whether it’s simply Eva winding a couple strands around her finger or Kate running her fingers through it while Eva has her head in her lap

Corny jokes that turn into challenges of who can come up with the worst pick up lines imaginable

Constant physical affection (holding hands, hugging, kisses on the cheek, forehead, nose, hand, lips)

Movie marathons (usually horror movies or sci-fi) on weekends that always end with cuddling and falling asleep on the couch

Even though Eva is taller (a fact she loves to hold over Kate’s head (pun intended)) Kate loves giving her piggy back rides and will occasionally surprise attack Eva and just scoop her up into a bridal carry (Eva loves her tiny strong girlfriend)

chess + animals!

chess loves animals but i feel like her parents wouldnt allow her to have one; they think theyre dirty and they have no time to look after one anyway

chess usually goes to the far end of her garden to be alone and think which is where she met a kitty which she sometimes brings food if she can sneak some out; said kitty is somehow always there when chess is upset

when she was younger she would be fascinated by the insects at the park and in her garden but her parents would tell her not to go near them so she had a little notebook she would document what she saw w a lil doodle and try and search them later

i think this started an interest in biology that soon turned into human biology as a backup plan (due to her uh failed athleticism); she doesnt find it quite the same but she still finds it interesting (humans are after all still animals)

she routes for the under-dog animals imo like the ones that arent cute and cuddly; she loves octopusses due to their intelligence, finds jellyfish fascinating due to their regenerative properties, and loves social insects like bees just of how they all work together.

she does have a small soft spot for otters though as she used to be a swimmer so saw a lot of herself in them (she also loves how they usually mate for life and the whole holding hands so they dont float away <3)
