Thoughts on Mafia Bosses
So I always had this head-canon that Dino, Tsuna, Enma and Byakuran may act and seem friendly but at heart they are true mafia bosses. Like there is an untameable beast in them and slowly, as they fit into their roles as Dons, it unleashes. It’s like they are willing to do unthinkable, wrong things for the right reasons.
I believe that the KHR!bosses are anti-heroes at heart. Slowly time in the Mafia changes them and they do enjoy the benefits (women, money, power) but they are there for their family and have very strong principles.
And tyl!Tsuna- well he’s the king of the underworld. He has a control over the worst monsters the world has to offer. And that’s only possible if he’s the deadliest monster of them all.
That’s what intrigues me about the mafia in general. The mafia is like a criminal organization with principles and that’s what makes it so sexy.
You know, when wicked has a good side?

mollusco - clam
famiglia - family
The book fell to the ground, and you didn’t move to pick it up. You were frozen, cold sweat lining your forehead as your mind struggled to register what you saw. Your heart hammered against your ribcage, and you had to sit down because your legs felt weak. You couldn’t believe it though; you didn’t want to. Your perfect boyfriend was a mafia boss and had lied to you about it for two years. The Mollusco Industries was a cover for the Vongola, the most infamous and powerful mafia famiglia in all of Italy. And like a cruel joke, your perfect boyfriend was the don in charge.
Your friends had warned you, and you’d dismissed them because you saw no fault in him. But now, he turned out to be a liar and a murderer and whatever the fuck else he was. He lied to you for two years about this, so what else had he lied about? Did he lie about his first love, a girl named Kyoko? Did he lie about his best friends? His family? His hobbies?
Did he lie about his feelings for you?
You swallowed thickly, clenching your hands into fists, and squeezed your eyes shut. Calm down, you told yourself. There has to be a rational explanation for this. But you didn’t know where else to get it but other than from the person himself. You bit down on your lower lip and collected your stuff.
Dread filled you, as you weren’t sure what would come of this, but you’d be damned if you didn’t at least get the truth. On your way out of the library, you text him asking to meet up at the cafe where you met because something very important to talk to him about. His response was almost instantaneous.
See you there, love.
You grimaced and practically ran there so you could get there before him. A part of you needed to be there before him for whatever the reason, and you obliged. Unfortunately, you hadn’t thought of what to say to him once you met up. So as you waited outside anxiously, mind racing as you tried to think of what to say, you were startled when arms wrapped around you from behind.
Snapping your head around, you relaxed when you saw it was just Tsuna. But as soon as he smiled, the picture you found in the library flashed through your mind, and you tensed once more.
“Everything alright, darling? You’re so tense.” Tsuna asked you, arms slipping away from your waist so his hands could massage your shoulders.
“Y-yeah,” you stuttered, lips twisting into an awkward smile.
Tsuna raised a dubious brow, “Are you sure?”
Now was your chance, you realized. You glanced away from him, uncertain, before meeting his concerned gaze.
“Tsuna, would you…would you ever lie to me?”
“Of course not,” he replied immediately. “I would never lie to you.”
At his words, anger suddenly surged through your veins, and you scowled.
“Liar!” You accused harshly, making him frown.
“I would never lie—” You cut him off by shoving the torn out page with the picture of him on it into his face.
“Then what the hell is this?” You demanded.
He gingerly took the crumpled page into his hands as you seethed. You had no idea where this anger came from, but it wouldn’t go away. So much being calm, you thought wryly. Tsuna perused the page, pausing on the picture. Then he just changed.
If you were expecting anything, it definitely wasn’t this. As soon as he saw the picture and the words below it, Tsuna’s face just fell. Whether in surprise or not, you didn’t know, because he was unreadable. Your heart froze in fear; you could always read Tsuna. His tawny eyes were clouded over possibly in thought as he gazed down at the picture.
When he offered no response, no denial, nothing, you felt angry, heartbroken tears prick your eyes. At your sniffle, his eyes snapped to you, zeroing in on your tears.
“Liar,” you choked out before turning your back on him and running away.
Behind you, the picture burned.
…
For a week, you ignored all his phone calls, his text messages, his erratic visits at your front door. You ignored him and everything. You were heartbroken and utterly devastated he had lied to you for the entire two years of your relationship. You’d given him everything: your first kiss, your virginity, your love, heart, mind, and body. And in return, he lied to you, kept up his farce of a CEO. Tears pricked the corners of your eyes, and you quickly wiped them away.
Unable to finish your report without feeling sick to your stomach, you pushed the papers away and stood. You bit down on your bottom lip as you made your way to your kitchen. As you dug through it, you realized you hadn’t been shopping yet like you needed to. Sighing, you resigned yourself to a impromptu grocery store trip. Luckily, the store was nearby so you could walk to it and back.
The trip had been uneventful. Once you’d gotten the essentials, you left the store and walked home. You paused at your front door, grocery bags hanging from your fingertips.
A grimace marred your face as you carefully dropped the bags from your reddening fingers. Pulling your keys out of your pocket, you went to unlock your door when you realized it was already unlocked. Your body automatically stiffened in fear as the memory of locking your door flashed across your mind. But you had a feeling you know what — who — was waiting on the other side.
And lo and behold, sitting on your couch like he owned the damn place was your ex-boyfriend. He looked like he hadn’t changed at all; still walking sex with his messy hair and tawny eyes. Tsuna didn’t say anything, just watched you with a predatory gaze as you resolutely walked past him and put away your groceries. Biting down on your tongue, you chose not to speak in spite of the anger that demanded you scream at him. There was a tense silence between you two as a result, and his heavy gaze on your backside made liquid fire spread through your veins.
Finally, you broke it.
“What do you want?” You asked harshly with a frown, daring to meet his gaze head-on.
“You.” He answered without skipping a beat. The hue of his eyes had darkened considerably since you entered.
Startled by his boldness and what you saw, you faltered, and the moment he stood, you knew it would be your undoing.
