finnick is just so soft and comforting in my mind. SOFT SMUT 16+

the capitol has painted him into this hypermasculine, tough, being. and they’re not far off. finnick is tough. but your finnick isn’t the capitol’s finnick. 

your finnick is loving, soft edges hidden by his muscled exterior. he’s caring. he cares so much, and those trips to the capitol seem to wear him down each time. but he always comes back to you, maybe with drained eyes and a little less energy in him, but he’s always there. 

your finnick loves you with all his might. he’s having a hand on you at all times, simultaneously making sure you’re not a figment of his imagination, and you won’t go away. (you’d never even dream of it) 

your finnick keeps you afloat on the mattress, instead of pushing you into it like others have. he has a soothing hand on you somewhere, usually along your abdomen, encouraging you when his display of love seems to be too much on your little body. he’s kissing you all over, not in that slobbery way that capitol men have, but in that way where you can tell he’s pressing all of his appreciation deep into your skin. lodging it there so that even when your body begins to decay beneath the earth a long time from now, the imprints of his love will still be nestled in your bones. he rocks into you slowly, but with a determined force behind it. he keeps your legs open, even propping them onto his shoulders to reach the deep pits within you that he knows has you mewling. and when your mewling turns into whines, which turns into breathy gasps, he has a thumb circling the little button that pushes you over the edge. 

and your finnick holds you when you’ve finished. there’s some nights where only you finish, but he couldn’t care less about himself. when he’s done, he doesn’t pull his pants up and throw loose bills over your body. he engulfs your tired frame in his arms, and kisses your forehead, mumbling suggestions of a warm bath before you both fall asleep. 

and of course, your finnick carries you to the bathtub that’s filled to the brim with warm water and soapy suds, joining you in the warmth that cleanses both of you, while also inviting you into a mutual embrace of drowsiness.

Thinking back Langa was sure Reki lied when he said "No one knows the true meaning of happiness".  

 Those nights skating under the stars laughing till it was hard to breath sure sounded like happiness, but no it wasn't the TRUE meaning. Maybe it was the first time he found joy in something after moving to Japan, the exhilaration he felt surely could be considered happiness. Yet something, no someone was there making them complete. He would have never found the intoxicating feeling of skating or even the friends he has now. Perhaps the true meaning of happiness wasn't an object or an activity, its a person.

He's positive now the true meaning of happiness had red hair barely contained by his headband and an infectious laugh
