I get very overwhelmed when I think about the fact that I’ve seen the original Elphaba perform Defying Gravity live twice

in “Wicked”, at one point Glinda tells Elphaba to “let it go”. Elphaba was originally played by Idina Menzel. Guess what Idina was singing about 10 years later.
