I’ve been working on this post for months now, trying to find the right words to explain how I’ve been feeling, but no matter how hard I try to encapsulate the depth of emotions into sentences, I fear it’ll be futile no matter what comes out.
And the reason I believe it to be so frustrating, is because like with BTS, things are felt, emotions are more poignant to the point where words fail to describe how much we love them and why.
When Festa dropped and chapter 2 was announced, I understood why people were upset, and I tried to reassure everyone we still had time, because I truly did believe that. There were various posts going around saying that BTS was going to break up and they had seen this happen before, and while I understood, I could not agree.
The reason, to me at least, is because even though people had seen this scenario happen many times before, I couldn’t explain how their POV was incorrect about BTS.
Because that’s the thing, isn’t it, BTS isn’t like other groups. They’re so incredibly different than the previous formulas put together to make a successful boy band to the point where people still view them from that perspective, anticipating the moment when everything will fall into a cycle we’re used to seeing from artists within a group.
Except, BTS has never been like any other group, nor are they like any other artists, and that’s the reason why so many of us love them, because they’re an anomaly that succeeded in this business. They are not a formula, nor conditioned, they are instead, people who came together in a serendipitous manner and soul bonded.
So the announcement of Chapter 2 didn’t mean bring me to my knees due to the constant faith I’ve had in BTS and the trust that they’ve given us. When they said, “please trust us only” or “we know this is the path for us”, I believed them and hopped on board without hesitation, ready to support them, in all and every capacity.
Because although they were on their path to do some needed soul work, to grow, learn and live, I could at least know we had them with us, in whatever capacity.
And as every member leaves, the wound opens up, the gash feels deeper and even more painful. To the point where it has become difficult to talk about the guys, to recant memories, to partake, because I refer to them as “was” or in a capacity of the past, and not as in the “now”.
Take Two really did it for me, it was the moment I finally felt everything I had been pushing back on, and avoiding. Because it mainly BTS talking about the was.
“My youth that is with you”
This to me feels like an end of something important.
It’s officially the ending of an era; up until now we’ve had BTS with us within a reach, whether it be via social media, content, music, anything, we still found ways to stay in the orbit of each others lives. To the point where they became our friends; I can hear Jimin’s
“I’m so lovely, you’re so lovely, we’re so lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely” in the same way I can recall what my best friends laugh sounds like. It’s like walking into a crowded space, but hearing familiar voices leads you to where they are. That’s what BTS sounds like, singular voices in a crowded room that help you find your way to them, and thus, it’s helped me ignore the other sounds and only focus on them, and what they say.
But it’s hard to accept that the golden era of ARMY and BTS is finally coming to a new stage in life, not over, nor final, but morphing into something different. Which is something that happens with time, people grow up, they become more private, and keep things closer to their heart. I don’t forsee BTS coming back same as before because as I mentioned, they’re older now, more mature, they’re not kids, and they are learning about life in different ways.
It’s why I don’t take it lightly when I say that BTS gave us their youth, because they did. We know and knew everything about them because they shared so much with us, too many TMI’s, so many laughs, tears, words, memories, hardships and successes, we’ve seen it all.
From their April fool’s pranks, to birthday celebrations, to them trolling each other online, to their music, to their vulnerabilities, to posting videos and forgetting that they’re big stars now (a la butter, tae armpit video) and even still seemingly bewildered by the fact that they succeeded and they thrived.
We know of Jin’s allergy to garlic, and the way he finds peace in the sea, in the same way of Joonie’s distaste to seafood and preference to meat, and the way he loves crabs.

We know of Hobi’s cute little sounds of happiness and the rock he has been to the guys, in the same way we know of Yoongi’s gazes that speak volumes, and the way he wants affection and loves holding hands, and the way he refers to himself as a "honey boy"
We know of Tae’s adversity to spicy food, and the way he wants to name his first child "Kimchi is good". We know of the loss he’s experienced, and the frankness in which he speaks to us, in the way he also loves us, and calls us his, and gave us the most beautiful purple sky.
We know of Jimin and his multitude of talents, from dancing to his athleticism, to this intelligence, wit, mischief, and style, to the his dislike of mangos and preference to fruit over sweets. We know of his family and how much he loves and cares for people because not only do we hear it from him, those around him, but we see it.
And we know of Jungkook’s love for things that smell pretty, his Victoria secret body sprays, and his love for anime, in the same way we know he can rip open a pineapple with his bare hands, and the way he cries during sad parts in a movie.
I have a theory that the reason Jungkook keeps getting bigger and bigger is because his body is trying to make room for all of the love and sweetness he has inside of him.
We know surface level things but also things past it, to the things that constitute their soul and the love of simple things.
We’ve traveled with them to Switzerland, to Hawaii, to Malta, to New Zealand, and we’ve walked, driven, flown, taken public transportation to reunite with them to sing and dance together, from NY to Cali, London to Paris, Tokyo, Italy, Hong Kong to Brazil, Mexico City to Saudi. We have heard the songs of the mariachi’s.
We’ve seen them stand and applaud winners of awards, taking their stride while being humble and grateful, and we’ve seen them win, we’ve seen them thrive, we’ve seen them break walls, records, norms. We’ve seen their losses but also their gains.
We’ve seen them at the lowest of their lives, and at the highest, and the moments, that like the stars in the sky, that shine so bright even in the darkest of times, we’ve seen those moments too.
We’ve taken comfort in each other, shared personal stories, and we’ve seen them speak to us in kindness, but also in stern ways to set their boundaries, and we’ve seen them build a bond with us because all we’ve ever had is each other. We’ve protected each other, fought for them and we’ve never strayed from the point, and that was BTS >
People often ask what is the reason BTS and ARMY are who they are to each other, and it’s simple, because we see each other as people and not numbers, fans, idols. We see them for them.
And that’s something that can’t be replicated or removed.
We’ve been with each other every step of the way.
And now they’re off to another adventure, a door is closing, and another one is opening, a new book in the life of BTS x ARMY.
But I am so fucking grateful to have joined as a fan when I did, 2017 to now, are years I don’t take for granted. I’m lucky to have been part of the BTS x ARMY golden era, which has never been the same since 2019. Not because of BTS, but because the fandom, as it grows and grows and grows, people don’t want to understand why it was so big in the first place.
BTS weren’t an overnight success, there’s stories, a path, a history there for them to be where they are today.
They didn’t gain all of this because of the fandom, in fact we were small up until 2020; BTS gained all of this because they worked hard, gave us their all, and we returned their love, by showing them how much we love and appreciate everything they do/did.
Their blood, sweat and tears did not go unnoticed, and while they went up against a monster of an industry, they did it with an ARMY behind them. And they’ve taken us with them every step of the way, the entire way, we’ve been each others only support.
For a moment I wish I could go back to all of the times with BTS, to re-live them in real time again, to hold on to them a little tighter, to appreciate them more, to memorize things by heart, to be more present, to enjoy it more and to laugh with them without a care in the world.

I wish I could have done more to protect them, to shield them, to let them know that they’re significant, and important and that they’re so very loved. To have never let them walk through a desert, to the loneliness they must have felt, even though we arrived at the beach together, was it necessary for them to go through that? “Even the desert has become the sea, so we swim forever”
I believe in the blue sea and my hertz
We forget that BTS were young when they took on such a responsibility, when all they wanted was to make music. It went from BTS singing about being a lonely whale in the vast ocean, calling out for other whales who can hear their pitch, that sounds at a higher frequency. It went from being “the worlds loneliest whale” to “Even the whale that was lonely is now singing together”
They were kids, and then they were global super stars, to UN ambassadors, to presidential envoys. They went from singing about polarizing issues and what it means to be young, to being the voice of a generation. They went from critiquing the system, to people turning the system on them and trying to box them and their creativity.
And yet, when given the chance to go far away to a house in the middle of nowhere, all they wanted was to play tennis, run around in the rain, to ridding AV’s to having waterballoon fights, to building paper planes, to sleeping, painting, reading, cooking, singing, playing pranks on each other. The most extravagant thing that was asked for was caviar.
In the midst of all of the massive popularity, BTS has always been themselves and for that I am grateful. My fandom experience has never been tied to ARMY and the other people in it, my fandom experience and what ARMY means to me, has always been, and will always be about BTS and nothing more.
It’s bittersweet, this feeling. I can’t wait for them to be back and to be reunited, and to see these versions of themselves, still similar but more wise. Painful is not even a word enough to explain this ache, and I pray for their safety, and that they’re well, and that they come back to us.

I want to thank BTS for giving us their youth, to let them know that it wasn’t for naught, that every moment was appreciated, that we loved them through all of it, through the highs, lows, mistakes, convictions, and resolutions. I want to thank them for the music they gave us, every single song, from the songs that made us laugh, cry, feel seen, understood and the words that are forever etched in our soul.
I want to thank them for inspiring me, for showing us what it means to be good and kind in this world, for encouraging us to grow and chase our dreams, and that it’s ok if we don’t have any dreams. I want to thank them for allowing us to see them in all capacities, from their mistakes and how to forgive yourself and ask for forgiveness.
I want to thank them for being 7 people who came together to give us so much comfort, for making us laugh, and for giving us everything they possibly could.
HYYH wasn’t just an era, it was a time that reminded us that HYYH is constantly happening, every moment has been the most beautiful at the time its happening, and to BTS, thank you for letting us be part of your past HYYH and your new HYYH.
I love you and I will treasure every moment, putting it in the deepest part of my heart to keep it safe, until you return back to us.

what i've been listening to this summer
ALLY IS A SHIP THAT NOT ALL OF US WILL SAIL
Disclaimer: These are entirely my thoughts, and they are not meant to try to sway or change someone’s mind. My opinion does not mean that it’s better than someone else’s, it’s just a matter of perspective. Bullying of any sort will not be tolerated in this space, if any hate is encountered said person will be blocked. This is a big post so buckle up
I received an ask a week or two ago that surprised me, not because of the topic but because of the request to my opinion in such matter
I don’t want to put the person's information on here, because I really don’t want to encourage anyone to send any hate to someone just for sending this ask, so I request that people do not ask me who it was because you will get no such answer.
After receiving the ask I reached out to the person who sent it and I got a bit of context of their opinion because I genuinely wanted to know what their thoughts were and how to appropriately approach this topic.
Because although I am queer, my opinion, however, is not the definitive answer, there are people who will absolutely have a different opinion than I do, and above all I want to remain respectful.
And after chatting, I then debated on how to even start this post, to give statistics or to just let it flow, and well, I chose the latter. So before I dive in, I just ask that everyone have an open mind and respect that people will have a difference of opinion.
And different POV’s are more than ok, just don’t be an asshole when approaching said topics, the way we communicate matters.
So let’s get it!.

I think that if I were to give my true thoughts on the Malaysia issue, I probably need to give more of a background into my deep dislike for this man. He’s just so fucking ick
I’ll start off with his misogyny and racism.
The thing is that it’s all out in the open, from interviews and shit he posted, and we could say that what he was saying was misconstrued, but if this behavior continues over a long period of time, then when do we stop blaming the media and start seeing MH for the absolute douchebag he is.
I will not be repeating what he said, nor will I ever defend him or give him the benefit of the doubt. And I’ve mentioned that people are worthy of second chances, and growing, but MH is an exception, to me, because at the end of the day he is a white man who benefits from not only privilege, but also, the patriarchy.

His queer support
Back in 2019 when he and his band performed in Dubai, he invited a fan to come up on stage to give him a hug and as they’re both approaching each other, they both kiss.
Now, originally people saw that and cheered and praised him for “wow look at him, he’s so amazing, sticking it to homophobes”.
Now MY Problem with that was first and foremost, was it consensual?. Did the fan know that was going to happen before he went on stage and the second thing was safety.
See, people like MH, who are cis-het white men, who are above all, the most privileged demographic of people - the world is literally catered for men like him - he has the protection of not just his security team but also, his label, his publicists, his fans, his people. When his shows end, at whatever stop they are at, and when the tour is over, he gets to come home to the US and live his life normally without interruption.
But in an anti-LGBTQIA+ country, can the same be said for the fan?. Who was recorded on camera, whose identity was not kept safe, I highly doubt he has the same support/protection as a white man, especially since he still lives in said anti-queer country.
My problem with MH is that he’s really fucking irresponsible - he comes to places all over the world - he indoctrinates his wester beliefs and views unto not only his fans but in spaces that can be dangerous for people. He has the privilege to leave at the end of the day, leaving behind chaos and consequences.
That to me is not an ally, that to me is a poor way of showing community support, because it’s self-serving and used as performative to gain sympathy and praise.
And that’s what white cis-het men do, especially when they’ve been brought up to believe that their opinions in experiences are worthy of being listened to, and spread.
And this thing with Malaysia is just another poor attempt at queer support, because MH uses queer lives for shock value, and nothing more. If he truly cared, he’d use his platform for true advocacy, to learn about regulations and highlight queer organizations in said countries to provide resources to people who are marginalized.
Kissing someone on stage is not queer support, it’s performative ESP when he himself has denied being part of the queer community. And we can say that it’s because he wants to remain private, which to me, would be laughable considering that he goes to other countries and disrupts people's lives, which is a violation of their privacy, but he himself has stated in interviews and now deleted tweets that he is not queer.
The thing is that MH is in fact taking up queer spaces because there’s a difference, as I mentioned - highlighting queer matters - and whatever he’s doing.
His ally ship does nothing but harm and cause problems.
RIGHT-WING IN QUEER SPACES
And I think the world has conditioned us to believe that any support matters…. When that’s not always the case. Milo Yiannopoulos and Caitlyn Jenner can be added to the list alongside MH. Both CJ and MY are both part of the queer community, both have been open about it, and both have taken advantage of a community that has supported them.
MY has always been a piece of shit, and I will not be including the horrendous and vile things this man has done, and with being appointed as “Kanye’s” new campaign manager, MY is going to use queer support as a way to promote not only dangerous but harming policies that go against the queer community.
Same thing is said for CJ. When she announced that she would be transitioning, she had an arsenal of trans activists ready to support her and guide her on her journey, and she in turn supported policies that not only directly discriminate against marginalized people, but also supports a policy and rhetoric that prevent trans girls from participating girl led sports, citing

Caitlyn publicly shared with us the hardships she experienced growing up how she struggled with being accepted, she threw the Kardashian’s under the bus (which, rightfully deserved lol) and she took advantage of a community that welcomed her with open arms.
And I’ve stated that queer people don’t owe anyone shit, and i still strongly believe that, and in the same sense, said community doesn’t owe queer people support simply for being queer.
And I think that's the issue with MH, MY, and CJ, that they are all white people who benefit from not only a privileged society, but they use their queerness as a weapon to support ideologies that are incredibly harmful to queer people.
If we want true inclusivity and support in queer spaces then it has to be intersectional.
I don’t know why, but i can’t shake the feeling that in the next few years not only will we be seeing more discussions such as these - about queer representation and allyship - and something in my gut tells me that it’s going to be around the wrong conversations.
Now more than ever politician’s who are homophobic and support this agenda, are being exposed for not only being queer but for also participating in our community (drag queens) and if my predictions are true, because of the way the world is changing, then my guess is that people like MY and CJ are going to be used by the right-winged political party as a way to shield themselves from their homophobic agenda.
“We’re not homophobic, see, we love queer people”.
I don’t like MH, I think he’s performative af and more of a liability to the queer community rather than a support. And I that’s what I think about the situation, and people are going to agree and they’re going to disagree, that’s normal, but in my soul, my own instinct, I could never support someone like MH nor would I think he’s an ally to my community.
If this was his response to the criticism he received, then it's safe to say that he hasn't reflected on why people are genuinely upset, and most importantly, it's the lack of self-awareness and accountability that speaks volumes to his character. I try to raise my voice as loud as possible on the issue of equality rights for lgbtqa+ people (speaking of homophobia, my country is similar to SK), fighting for non-binary toilets in public places. but sometimes I may exaggerate when I bake a rainbow cake on New Year's Eve due to the arrival of my child's queer friends. I try not to give too much reassurance on topics like these because I feel like there's always room for us to have a discussion, because sometimes we do things that are wrong.
But you haven't done anything wrong. From your ask and the way you shared your thoughts, I want you to know that I appreciate you sharing that with me, and I appreciate the trust,
Because it is a trust thing, to send an ask such as this and fear judgement, but when it comes to these type of topics, I try not to judge someone, because I know what it's like to have those anxieties and wonder if we could say something wrong. In situations as these, I really do try to show kindness.
The part where you mentioned "I try to raise my voice as loud as possible", is so important because those are the things that matter, and the things we do that make a significant change. Your advocacy for a better world, for safe queer spaces, is so important, and I admire the way you show up not just for queer people, but for your kids.
People give themselves such a hard time about "I should be doing more" but the things you do to make change happen are already huge. So I hope you don't take my post and feel as if you're not doing enough.
I read what you said about the cake thing, and I wanted to share a bit of a story, because I think it's important.
Back when my youngest sibling was planning on coming out, I remember the conversations leading up to it and discussions about coming out to my parents. And because my middle sibling (?? IDK what you call the 2nd child hahah) and I had already come out at different times, we tried to give our youngest the reassurance that everything would be ok.
We listened to their doubts and validated their feelings, because regardless if two of already came out, it's still a fucking scary thing.
And so when they decided to do so, I remember my sibling saying "I was just scared you both would be disappointed, because we're all gay", I remember so much of that day and how fucking heartbreaking it was to see my sibling struggle to accept that our parents would always love us for who we are.
I also remember thinking "disappointed? they're lucky I graced them with such presence". I'm jokiiiiing.
After that day, whenever I would go over to visit my parents I'd see my dad working in the backyard, and I'd look at him weird because he told me he was building something but that he didn't want to share it with us because he knew we couldn't keep a secret from each other. My mom's response to his project was a reassuring "who even knows with him" lolololol
And I would see him, getting frustrated, he'd curse and just look like he was having a miserable time. NGL I laughed every time, bcs tbh my parents are fucking weird sometimes, like there is no reason for my dad to have been so dramatic.
Turns out he was working on building something for my sibling when they came home to visit for the holidays, and I believe it took my dad a solid 8 months (HAHAH) to finish his project.
And look I laugh, because it's my job to clown my parents, but also joking is a way for me to deflect from serious and tender moments.
When my sibling came home, my dad asked us to meet him in the backyard, and look I WAS READY, REEE-A-DYYYYY to clown him.
I had my jokes and shit lined up
But then he showed us his gift.
HAHAHAHHA I'm trying not to cry as I type this.
He had made a bench for my sibling, it was painted in various colors, to make it look like a gradient rainbow, and he had engraved their name on it. And I remember the way he looked at my sibling and told them "you will always have a space here with us".
I still cry when I talk about it.
My dad still looks at that bench and says it wasn't a big deal, and he recalls ALLL of the work it took for him to finish it, and he minimizes it because he thinks - in his mind - he literally thinks he could be doing more......
And the thing is he does, both my parents do, they both show up and use their voices to fight for us and for other people who experience discrimination just because we want to live authentically and freely.
But I always think of that bench,
that fucking bench
That fucking rainbow bench that makes me cry every time i think about it or see it. Because it's like your cake, it might be small, and it might not seem like it means a lot, but it's the small things in our life that makes us feel accepted and love.
Don't beat yourself too hard, you're doing good, and I bet you that your kiddos love the cake.

I professionally deal with the analysis of literary texts and the theory of literature. although not in English so maybe someone will correct me, but with all the debate about the use of "female pronouns" by musicians in the song, I want to point out something that is obvious to someone who reads literary texts. in "like crazy" jimin - the narrator starts singing in the 3rd person: she says and then quotes what "she" said (follow me) - 2nd person singular The narrator tells a story about someone (she) talking to him, he is tempted maybe ( girl, or maybe a glass of whiskey) and the narrator - the character replies to her: watch me go (from you). I write all this to say that Like crazy in no way indicates Jimin's interest in women. I'm pretty sure there won't be any romantic hetero-ballad on JK’ s album, unless JJK1 is planned as a commodity for Hybe to grab as much of the Western music market as possible, but we'll know that from the first note

We don't know the full lyrics of this specific song.
We don't know if this song is on his album.
We don't know what this album consists of, how many songs, how personal it is as a whole, who wrote the lyrics to some or all of his songs.
We just don't know.
If the song or songs on his album have female pronouns and talk about love and attraction to females, and if JK tells us the album and all songs on it are personal to him, only then will people be able to come around to our blogs and claim some sort of proof that JK might be interested in women.
